Re: Meet Ghost-The Ghost Files
Don't go mad with cleaning his cage, it does sound like he's been over scenting his cage, they do this if cage is cleaned too often, the more you clean, the smellier they'll be.

It is more the smell of stale widdle I want to clean once I can find where he is widdling that is.
Just like a teenager his "bedroom has much detritus in it" I am wondering if he burrows down to have a widdle.

Re: Meet Ghost-The Ghost Files
Looks like you'll be having a "fun" time doing the sniff test
He might be burrowing down to pee. I remember Serendipity said that's what Newt was doing

Re: Meet Ghost-The Ghost Files
How nice for you both that taming is going well. Hope you can find the hidden piddle. It may be worth removing most of the wet/puddled on substrate, but leaving a little bit so Ghost isn't too upset his scent has gone.

I'm so happy that Ghost's taming is going well. Have fun cage cleaning, lol.

Re: Meet Ghost-The Ghost Files
Evening Folks,
Just a wee update of Ghost's on goingness Last week Ghost weighed in at 118g, this week he is a growing 123grams..!
He has had a bit more taming problem is I don't get much time weekends only really.
He has a new favourite snack/treat which is Cheerio's or the Aldi version really, but when offered he grabs it and stops all activity to eat one...
He doesn't drink much but as he gets fresh fruit and veg everyday I am not surprised as he will hydrate from that, he does like water melon too...
Tonight he has had some duck and cucumber, he nosed the cucumber out of the way munched the duck and went back to his wheel....
Ghost runs that much in his wheel I have done a few calculations based on observations and my estimates are he runs 2-4kms a night...!

Lovely to see ghost is still doing well. Although I'll admit, I've been watching his entertaining videos on Instagram 123 grams is darn impressive! Keep it up Ghosty

Re: Meet Ghost-The Ghost Files
Good to hear Ghost is growing sounds like he is a bundle of energy! How did you work out how far he runs? Wonder if I could do that with Quigley. I just wouldn’t know how many km/hr he runs at. I didn’t know they could eat watermelon. I had a guinea pig who used to love the stuff, though.
