Re: Just got Teddy and Bear today
Oh I'm sorry, I was a bit unclear. I meant two cages for Teddy, since they are both small in area, with the two connected by tunnels, giving him more room to play.

Re: Just got Teddy and Bear today
OK, I misunderstood. I would suggest a large, Syrian appropriate-sized cage for Teddy, too. It is better for Syrians to have enough area in the cage instead of two smaller cages connected because they tend to do much better that way. If he like to have tubes, then I would suggest incorporating them into his large cage design instead of having it used to connect the two smaller cages. I hope that this helps. Good luck and have tons of fun with your two hammies.

Re: Just got Teddy and Bear today
I hope that you are able to keep Teddy & Bear in their own seperate cages The floor space is minimum 80x50 cm or 450 Sq in in the US. 360 sq in was the minimum prior to the upgrade by selective forums.
I'd do what you can to give Teddy & Bear awesome large cages, they will be so happy

Re: Just got Teddy and Bear today
I agree with dreamtree. It would be better to have one large cage, rather than two smaller ones joined by tubes. Floor space is defined as the area in which they can run without having to slow down, which they must do to enter a tunnel. So, two cages joined by a tube wouldn't help this issue.

Re: Just got Teddy and Bear today
So far, Bear is in a large crate and is loving it. Teddy remains in the smaller crate until we can get our hands on a aquarium so we can convert it into a nice house for him. Stay tuned for final products!

Re: Just got Teddy and Bear today
I just saw the pictures of your handsome hammies. Both of them are so, extremely cute! I love how they are peeking out to show everyone their magnificent cuteness! Awe, how sweet! I look forward to seeing Teddy's new home whenever it is finished.
