Oh thank you, only if you're sure you won't need it? Would you be able to post it? I'm not sure how big they are, but will cover all costs.

I've had a message from the seller to say the shelf has been found, so I won't be needing one now. Thank you for your kind offer though

Re: Penny's Thread
Congratulations on Penny! She is gorgeous!
I like the kerry, but I think that the Alaska is a little bit bigger, so she may enjoy it more.

Re: Penny's Thread
Hi Liz, congratulations on Penny, she's so beautiful!
Good on you for adopting her, I can't believe this little beauty was in the adoption area in P@H.
I love her colouring!

Re: Penny's Thread
Thank you every one I was surprised to see her in adoption too, they had another hamster in too very similar to her but was bigger. 10 weeks old and moved to the adoption area already!
I got the Alaska, she seems to really like it and is more confident in there too, she doesn't jump at seeing my hands in and will happily take treats and walk up my arms
Some pics taken before she was moved, she's very fast and active to photograph now!

Re: Penny's Thread
Replace that bridge in the middle,it really isn't safe for so many reasons The gaps are a huge risk for falling, and the chain is a very big risk for tiny hamster toes and claws to get caught in and therefore could cause some very painful injuries. The rope bits are most likely cotton and therefore unsafe as if they're ingested they cannot be properly digested and will cause an intestinal blockage(which can at worst lead to death if not given proper treatment which will be quite costly and stressful).
I'd get an upright wheel as well, since flying saucer type wheels just don't allow for a natural running position. They cause side arching as well, whereas an appropriately sized upright wheel would always allow for a natural and straight running position.Ideally you'd be getting the Silent Runner(not Spinner,as Silent Spinners are just not worth buying due to being terrible quality and rarely if ever spinning properly, and keep in mind that no other wheel is as safe as the Silent Runner plus despite being an investment they last a very long time and could last several hamsters).

Re: Penny's Thread
Apart from the bridge in the middle, the cage looks great. The gaps in the ladder are too big, you could replace it with another bendy bridge.
Glad she's settling in, she's such a sweetheart, her ears are so big but beautiful!

Re: Penny's Thread
Lovely cage! Maybe you could replace the middle ladder with a solid ramp or bridge? And an upright wheel would be better for her. The 12 inch silent runner would be great. Very pretty photos of Penny. Such wonderful big ears!
