Re: Quigley
dreamtree ah great. Quigley wanted to make sure no one had missed out on seeing how strong he is! Plus, I'm sure he wanted to show off to Eros
Coco yes, I'm sure he will get faster! I'm trying to think of a way to block off the top of the stairs just in case. Oh, I didn't know they made a bigger version of that particular wooden house as there was only that tiny one in the p@h I was in at the time. Will keep an eye out if it as Im sure Quigley will soon be unable to fit inside the hamster sized version.
ThinLizzy yes, it is like a mountain! I think it's the best toy ever for him as he is such a climby boy. Mushu used to prefer to sit at the bottom of the stairs and tear at the carpet; he never figured out how to climb up so I was surprised Quigley managed it so swiftly.

Re: Quigley
AprilPearl, definitely tell master climber Quigley that Eros saw Quigley's mountain climbing video last night, and she loved it just as much as I did. In fact, she kept climbing back onto my mouse button so she could replay it again and again, lol!!!! She is definitely a #1 fan of his expertise and strength. Bravo and encore!!!!!!

Re: Quigley
Nice to hear that Quigley enjoyed his free roaming time and he discovered the joys of climbing the stairs. My Syrian hamsters (long since gone to the bridge) all enjoyed climbing the stairs. I haven't tried my previous or current dwarf hamster as I thought it may be unsafe due to their small size.

Re: Quigley
Well done Quigley, he really is strolling about like he owns the place lol. I loved the way he was wandering about on the stairs then he would come to your hand then turn away. It was like he was saying "no Mum, I can manage myself, I'm a big boy". He is so cute and strong too climbing up all the stairs. He's very brave and looks so confident too.
Good to hear (and see him) he enjoyed his free roaming time

Re: Quigley
dreamtree aww I expect Quigley will be flattered. He will appreciate the female attention
CMB It actually never occurred to me that Quigley would try to climb the stairs, let alone that he would succeed. But, there you go, I guess they surprise us all the time.
BorisPasha haha yes I was waiting for him to get bored and there to give him a hand getting down but he really just wanted to keep climbing. Felt like a right helicopter parent, hovering over him, watching for signs he might fall!

Re: Quigley
AP I have never seen it in p@h. Zooplus sell both sizes. It gives the dimensions of the guinea pig one. Too small for a piggie in my view but a roomy for a Syrian. Takes up quite a bit of space in a cage but fine if they use the upstairs. Nice for a play area out of cage too.

Re: Quigley
Mr Quigley what a stunning fluff monster you are...!
Mr Ghost will be getting ideas about stairs..! Seeing as how well he climbs round is cage.
He seems to have no fear of the stairs what a wonder he is...

Re: Quigley
Fairy has that little house. Amazing what a teeny space hamsters can get themselves into!
Q is so fluffy and adorable.

Re: Quigley
Just catching up on this lovely little man's thread- he's looking handsome as ever. I like the pic of him standing on his hind legs, reminds me a bit of a cobra

You're right to be cautious though, even when they are just ambling about they can all of a sudden decide to make a run for it I'd be just the same but I don't think my little guys will be climbing the stairs, there is no carpet to grip on to and I don't think they would be able to stretch enough to get up them lol.
