Re: Quigley
Quigley is very "macho" (haha I didn't know you used that word in English) and his skirt is better than any lion's hair soo.. yes, the main different it's the size

Re: Quigley
Oh goodness, I've missed too many Quigley updates Glad to hear he's decided to eat the pellets he dislikes. He's quite the handsome fellow. Looking back on the front page of this thread vs how he looks now, the difference is absolutely remarkable!

Re: Quigley
Dear Quigley,
You'll be collected tomorrow morning (Saturday) by hamster jet express, you'lll be one of the last hams as you're in London. You'll then be brought to the accommodation and be met by us.

Re: Quigley
Quigley,
Hello it is me your friend Ghost, can't wait to meet you as part of "The EHO" tomorrow evening, I saw your request about having My Private Hamographer come and work with you, I shall allow it as he needs more practice as he can never fail us Hams in our quest for perfection..... Though he does have this habit of wanting to do this " Arty Black&White" stuff, well I will allow him to do this if it keeps him happy...
Time for more running now in readiness for our concert.
Your good friend
Ghost

Re: Quigley
Thank you BorisPasha, ThinLizzy, Hamsterita, Drago, Rads, Humphreyhamster.
ThinLizzy Quigley is very excited to try on his shoes tonight at the dress rehearsal (actually I think he's mostly excited about the spaghetti!). Thank you very much for arranging everything
Hamsterita Yes, I think "macho" is either a Spanish word or derives from a Spanish word?
Drago I'm actually surprised that the photos on the first page of the thread are still visible. Photobucket doesn't seem to have revoked my 3rd party sharing privileges yet, despite me only having a free account. I keep waiting for all my lovely photos to disappear...
Ghost Hello, its Quigley! Can't wait to finally meet you. I'm so glad your private Hamographer has agreed to give me a photo shoot - as one handsome ham to another, my mum can't quite capture all my handsomeness (not that I can blame her as there is so much of it!). Perhaps your hooman could take some photos of the concert?
Humphrey_hamster hello!! I'm so glad you like Quigley's thread I'm biased but I have to agree with you haha.
Quick update on Quigley:
Quigley went through a few days of taking some of the black pellets and yellow cornflakes, but I think has now gone back to refusing them all.
He hasn't actually fallen asleep on me again, but he has closed his eyes, snuggled down, and tried to sleep - apparently my hands aren't the comfiest place to nest, as he gave up after about 15 minutes.
Because my mum will be looking after Quigley when I go to uni in October (sob!), yesterday I had my mum sit in the playground and also hold him a bit. I honestly expected him to act the same with her as he does with me, but he definitely knew something was different. He wasn't sure about her at all and kept climbing off her hands onto mine (I had them near by in case she dropped him as he kept trying to get off her). He didn't want to climb up onto her like he does with me, either. It reminded me of when we went to collect him: he was so calm with his breeder but very wary of me. I suppose this goes to show that hamsters can differentiate between people...

Re: Quigley
It might be worth getting your mum to do the tissue trick with him for a while AP so he gets really used to her scent then he'll probably be a lot happier being handled by her too.

Re: Quigley
Cypher that's a good idea, thanks! Hopefully they are good friends by October, but it did worry me when I saw how jittery he was with her.

Re: Quigley
I'm with Cypher on the tissue trick, it really helps with getting them familiar with other scents.
Your mom is going to do you proud when you go to Uni in October and she has plenty of time to bond with Quigley.

Re: Quigley
I agree with Lizzy, your mum still has plenty of time to bond with Quigley before October, I'm sure you have no need to worry & they'll get on just fine.
