Sir Henry Wiltonshire - Metallica's Secret Resident
I think it's about time I came clean about Metallica Hamstery's latest arrival. Sir Henry Wiltonshire arrived at Metallica last Monday as his previous owners were unable to keep him. He will be staying with me as a foster hamster until he finds a nice permanent home but until that happens he'll be considered part of the Metallica Hamstery family.
He arrived at mine in a 'Pets at Home Large Wire Cage' which was the largest cage that his previous owners could buy in the shop however I felt that he might appreciate a bit more space and so I've since moved him into the largest cage I had and have given his old cage to Jessie. If he remains with me, I am considering purchasing something like an Alaska but I'm also keeping my eyes out for any secondhand cages that may also be suitable.
I was expecting him to be a little bit nervous around people but I've found him to be really friendly and inquisitive.
The name Henry was the one he came to me with and I extended it in the tradition of Metallica Hamstery.
All the time he's with me, I'll post his updates in this thread so without further ado, here he is...

It was a bit of a surprise to me as Syrians weren't originally part of Metallica's plans for the future but once I got the message about him, I knew I had to take him on at least until he found a new home.
I've not been trying too hard on that front yet as I want him to have a little bit of stability and my sister has said that she might be interested in taking him on after Sooty crosses the bridge (they've not got room for both).
I'm considering taking him along to the next hamster show in Othery to see how he gets on. I don't know a great deal about Syrian show standards so I'm not sure whether I'll put him in the main show or will just stick to pets. I'll have to be there all day anyway as James will be going into the main show and I'm hoping to learn about Show Seccing.

What a proper little fluff ball Henry is, though he looks like he has been dragged from his nest backwards....

Awwww. I love cream syrians. My first ever hamster, Horace was a black eyed cream. Henry is lovely. Hope he does well in the show ring.

Aw he's lovely Fluff. Hope he stays in the Fluffagrams family, even if it's not at Metallica.
