Psst, Marti. . . it's me, Eros! I'm sure you will amaze the judges with your shiny coat soon enough. They may need to wear sunglasses as you are a star and your coat has the most glorious radiance. I know you will place incredibly well when you do get the chance to compete in a show and will make your mum extra, EXTRA proud (not that you need rosettes to do that, of course). I can't wait to get into tons of mischief with you and your new brother. It sounds like you have been training him well in the fine art of proper bar chewing. I'm sure your mum loves all the extra noise and distraction.

Dreamtree, hi, Eros! You’re right indeed, my coat demands to be seen. I spend so much time in my sand bath not to be hidden at home all the time. My little bro is very easy to manipulate, so I taught him some hamster parkour and now he spends half his time hanging on the bars upside down and we also give great bar chewing concerts that my mommy just adores. You should definitely join us sometime!

So, Marti seems to either be confused by early evenings that came with the winter, or she just now developed herself a new schedule that allows her to wake up much earlier than Lemon and she can enjoy herself without his little face looking at her from his cage. Nowadays she wakes up at about 4pm and goes to bed at 10pm, whereas before it was 8pm-2am, but now night hours belong to Lemon and late afternoon is Marti’s, but since it’s dark outside at 5pm already, I think it doesn’t bother her.

A few days ago she discovered her old carrier that I also brought Lemon in and the food mix the breeder gave him that remained there. She seemed very excited by the discovery.

Aww, Marti you are as gorgeous as ever! Absolutely LOVE the pics!! Eros has gotten your message about the bar chewing nightly musicals. She has been promptly performing her part and waking everyone in the house, lol. She has also been doing plenty of acrobatic stunts with her monkey barring/swinging acts, too. You, Lemon, and Eros are quite the mischievous trio!

Dreamtree, Marti is high fiving herself for being such a naughty little mastermind and convincing Eros to participate in her shenanigans. I don’t know what she has been telling Lemon but he has been especially crazy the last week. Marti wants Eros to keep up though


Marti has been pretty chill last couple weeks, apart from one funny incident when I left her cage open for one minute to go and get her food, and when I came back, she was calmly sitting on our armchair looking very pleased with herself. My bad, I guess. Should’ve known better.
Also, I’m sure she totally knows what we’re saying because I was telling my mom that we should take Marti’s Sputnik and give it to Lemon, as she has been completely indifferent to it, and he likes climbing stuff. And the next day Marti suddenly started climbing inside her Sputnik looking very serious, sitting inside and glaring at us. I guess the Sputnik will remain in her cage.

No worries, Eros will most certainly be sure to keep up her crazy shenanigans I'm sure. Lemon probably decided that he wanted to join in all the fun, silliness, and mischief, too. It is too funny that Marti was lounging on the armchair waiting for your return. I can just imagine that hilarious sight. She is truly awesome and so much fun; I'm glad that she didn't decide to take off running too far, but she probably thought it would be more fun to catch your astonished expression, lol. She will probably want to have nothing to do with her Sputnik if she realizes that you bought Lemon his very own one. Marti is such a character, and I love her to pieces, lol.

BP, it’s the most likely outcome

Dreamtree, I think Marti has had her portion of runaway and decided that it’s not as fun as it seems to be. The couple times she escaped, when I found her, she seemed really unimpressed. She probably realized that there’s no food, no sand bath and her nest is too far, and every time I found her, her face clearly said “I did non think it through”. So, armchair rules))) I think I’m going to just swap her and Lemon’s toys from time to time and save some money, but keep their interest))
