Yes funny he stuffed it all in one pouch! Maybe he is right-handed Right hand, left pouch easier?! I think he already had something in the other pouch and then filled that up afterwards. Never seen him pouch anything argeish like that before. But fascinating that he could stlll chew and bite the end off while most of it was in his pouch!

Impressive hardly describes it, I had to watch it twice to be sure Newt demolished it in such a short time. Off to find out where to get Wellybix from for Maestro. They must be good.

I got them at a local food fair. They're made locally. Hand-baked and organic and ingredients are fine - just biscuits basically but baked extra hard - for dogs and pets. I think they have a website though so you might be able to order them online. Looked like it was good for his teeth anyway! Newtie has always been a little gannet over food lol. I call him my little hoover. You saw him hoovering up the crumbs at the end in the video!

Yes I found the website and saw they were made in the NE. Newt is certainly an enthusiastic Hoover. Even my H laughed at that and wanted me to find the Wellybix. Two flavours, beef and chicken. Which is Newt demolishing?

I think we should all get some wellybix going and start some sort of championship for speed and extreme pouching. Newt is current world record holder of course and looks like he would be hard to beat!!

I can't remember which one it was. He had it in the playpen when I was sorting his cage out last week and left it in the coconut. The coconut got put on top of the cage and he found it again while he was in foraging mode!

He's had both the chicken and the beef in his cage - he grabs them and runs into his house and puts them in a special place but doesn't usually eat them! I think he gnawed it so he could pouch it and hoard it. Not sure if he'll eat any but they must smell nice!

Wellybix competition sounds fun lol. The ingredients do include "beef stock" or "chicken stock" so unknown what is in that but I think it's just a small bit of flavouring and not really an issue - especially when he doesn't eat them! Just gnaws them and hoards them.
