He sounds a lovely boy and in great form. I have never had the shoulder treatment and look forward to the day! Inside the sleeve though is always a good hamster spot- warm and dark.

Thank you Coco - it can be a bit tickly and have "eek" moments when you're not quite sure where he's going and heading for an armpit  I am not sure how much is affection and how much is just that I am a convenient climbing frame ha ha.

It was Newt's first birthday on Saturday and he was given this carrot topped hay house which he seemed quite interested in It's now inside his cage.
I have to admit I completely forgot it was his birthday until I just saw Souffle's Easter thread mentioning the Hallupert's birthdays. So it was a co-incidence Newt had a fun night and a new toy on Saturday! Don't tell him! We will sing Happy Birthday tonight. It doesn't seem like a year because he didn't come home with us until May.

Yes it does seem unbelievable! It's flown by. I do like this one year stage though - they are more mellow but still active
