Cypher used to recommend it for hammies rather than cod liver oil - for the skin/fur and vitamins I think. Just a teeny drop. I thought it might help if he had any digestive discomfort (not sure if he has or not).
Is there anything Newt doesn't like? Hmm. He eats for England and I cannot think of anything he hasn't devoured immediately! I've always called him my little hoover. Any crumbs on the floor near the sofa and he'll eat them - he loves going in the kitchen for the same reason (of course I make sure they're safe crumbs before he gets to them - bread, cake etc, anything else gets picked up first).
They do vary. Our last Syrian Charlie was very picky.
