So lovely to see Newt still enjoying exploring - it so cute seeing him squeezing through your arm plus very brave at climbing down the blanket to the floor. Looks like he thoroughly enjoyed his Christmas adventures.

Newtie has been a bit awol recently - maybe the colder weather. I tempted him out last night and he had a good run around all over the living room and kitchen. Now he's a bit older he's not so fast so I can make sure he doesn't go anywhere he shouldn't. He seemed quite perked up afterwards.

Unfortunately I have just gone down with a cold today so he won't be out again until that's cleared up.

He is ageing gracefully. His coat is lovely - he's just a bit slower. Still eats like a hoover.

I'm sure he's happy in his house now it's cold & he's getting older, lovely to hear he enjoyed some nice time out for a bit of a break from the lazy routine though
Hope your cold is better soon.

Thank you. OH had a stinker of one for about two weeks - so poor Newt couldn't comeo out till I was sure the coast was clear - and then I got it!

Quite a lot of our hammies could go awol tonight if it gets as cold as predicted!
Newtie sounds as though he likes his occasion adventure around the room.
Rotten luck over the cold Serendipity. Hope you are better soon.

Newt is officially free ranging in the lounge now and confident enough to head into the kitchen to, but I try and keep him in the lounge as too much to block off in the kitchen!

After hardly being out for a week due to my cold (except for a photo the other day) he was sitting at his door waiting to come out tonight. We were having our tea so he had to stay on the sofa and/or in his snooze cube while we ate off our knees. He was giving me looks - like a dog! Hard looks - you're eating and it smells nice.

So I gave him a bit of plain pastry off the edge of my quiche. So there we were all three of us sitting eating at the same time! Wish I'd had my camera on me. It took him a while to nibble away the hard pastry and then he carried on looking hard at my plate. So gave him a tiny bit of boiled potato. He pouched that. He was then ready to climb down and run around on the floor and we'd finished eating so I didn't stop him.

He just climbs down from the sofa these days, pootles around, zooms a bit. After 20 mins or so I put him back in his cage - and I got a Charlie treatment!

He sat there, just inside the door with his back to me and gave off a kind of - I'm in a huff - posture. Talked to him and he ignored me and kept up the aloofness. So I put his snooze cube back to the door, he jumped into it and had another 20 minutes of pootling and zooming in 3 rooms. Phew. I had to keep up with him and follow him just to keep an eye on things.

Lovely to hear Newt is doing well - and enjoying his time free-ranging

He certainly seems to enjoy free ranging, bless him wanting to come back out again. It is funny when they can smell dinner and want some too, happens all the time here!
