Re: Newt's thread
Thank you Astrid I have mixed a bit of the new organic mix in with his existing mix as a gradual changeover and give him a couple of science selective pellets as well - he really likes the changed mix and takes most of it - and the science selective pellets. These have changed - they are no longer little heart shaped biscuits but kind of brown littler things. Whatever. Contents seem the same. I've found he prefers the junior rodipet mix to the senior so got the junior organic one.
Yes his fur is looking much better. Still a slight baldy patch at that side but not as bad and the skin is a bit dry there. I think it's an age thing. He is ageing gracefully.

Re: Newt's thread
Just been catching up with Newt's adventures, I so laughed at him tackling the apple and the sofa. Such funny, gorgeous pics.

Re: Newt's thread
The disappearing potty. Seriously it has disappeared! For a while now Newt has been hoarding his "best things" in his potty for some reason. So last time I moved some of his hoard to another room in his house (which had a bit of a tunnel in it) and refilled the potty with sand. When he was out the other night he smelled of pee - hmm!
And now it has come colder the last couple of days it seems he has started tunnelling and burrowing again and there is a big pile of Fitch pushed out from under the house and blocking up the wheel. Which I sorted out and he then put it back again. Tonight I went to empty the potty and it's not there.
I thought maybe he had tunnelled under it and it had sunk so I pushed my hand right down in that area and still couldn't feel anything! Newt then darted out and retrieved a walnut from the hoard where the potty should be - clearly worried I was messing with his hoard. I've left it for tonight but am wondering where the potty is!
I suspect some excavating has been going on to move it so he can hoard there - I think he has dug under it so it sank to the bottom and then pushed it further along (hence the big mound).
I get the message -he wants his hoard where the potty was. Unfortunately his new pee place seems to be underneath the house somewhere!
Now this is all because I put the house on legs again a while back Anyway he's having fun. Have some heating on now and his snugglesafe bottle at night so that should help him go back to normal behaviour. The other night I forgot to turn the heater off in there until very late and saw him literally basking in the warmth! Like he was sunbathing on top of his log.

Lol! Sounds like he’s been having fun redecorating. Always funny when they do things like that. Hope the potty is found soon!

Re: Newt's thread
lol! Newt has been having fun! He's been a very busy boy arranging things just so! It is amazing just how much they can move things & all that fitch when they set their minds to it!
Good luck finding the new pee place, I have to tackle the same problem with Zylvan very soon.
Had to laugh at him sunbathing on his log

Re: Newt's thread
Aww Newtie's antics really made me smile. What a lot of work he has been up to. You will find the potty somewhere under all his fitch!
When I moved Maestro to the barney I thought about using the stilts for his house too. But it made it too tall under a Sputnik. He is not much of a burrower though.
Have been using the snugglepad here too ( known as Snugglepuss!) but I think the heating must go on this weekend.
