Re: Newt's thread
I decided Newt might be getting a bit bored so set up the playpen in the living room tonight and he had a great old time discovering his old playpen wheel and running around inspecting everything. He hasn't forgotten his baby trick learned at Souffle's of using an arm to climb out so he climbed out up my arm a couple of times when he seemed a bit fed up with being in the playpen and climbed on me and the chair a bit then back in the playpen. He really perked up and seemed like a young hamster again. He used to go in it every night but got bored with it and then migrated to the sofa - so a break means he's interested in it again.

Re: Newt's thread
What a little darling finding interest in his playpen again. He sounds like quite the explorer.

Re: Newt's thread
Thank you TL - I was feeling a bit guilty that I hadn't given him much attention recently, as been particularly busy, and hadn't been getting him out as often - although he didn't show any sign of wanting to come out but I do think he was getting a bit bored. Stuck some pumpkin seeds in his hyacinth ball as well and hid a few treats in the cage.

Re: Newt's thread
Lol, Newt's "renovated" cage design surely made me laugh; he is such a funny ham! His two most recent pics are absolutely gorgeous and so, SO adorable. He looks so handsome in them, and his expressions are totally priceless. I especially love the one with him poking his cute little face out of his snooze cube. You should frame it as it is just TOO precious.

Re: Newt's thread
Newt says thank you and wishes everyone to know that he was unnecessarily disturbed at 3pm this afternoon (which is too early to be disturbed) by having his potty cleaned all because a visitor was coming to look at him. (Our petsitter came to check things out today in preparation for going on holiday in a couple of weeks).

Re: Newt's thread
Aww, poor Newt having to deal with a potty cleaning session so early in the afternoon. He didn't request housekeeping during sleeping hours after all, lol. Newt and Nugget are so lucky to have you. I hope you have a grand time going on holiday soon.

Re: Newt's thread
Beautiful photos of Newt peering out of his snooze cube - He is getting more handsome!
Newt didn't sound impressed for his potty cleaned before the pet sitter visited.
I hope you all have a lovely holiday!

Re: Newt's thread
It sounds like Newt has very clear ideas on how best to arrange his cage to deal with the warm weather! Love the pic of him peering out of his cube, what a handsome boy.
