Re: Newt's thread
Happy Belated 1st Birthday Newt - I hope you had an amazing day and was well spoilt. He looks so very sweet in her carrot cottage.
I also cant believe it too that he is already 1 - time surely flies by!

Re: Newt's thread
Yes there must have been some birthday vibes in the air on Saturday as he had a rollicking out of cage time that night and a new toy - even though we had actually forgotten that was his birthday day.
The carrot cottage has been tipped over in the cage - it seems I had put it on top of his top house entrance and he clearly didn't approve of that (even though the house entrance is blocked off with Fitch but maybe it is still used!)

Re: Newt's thread
Happy belated 1st birthday to one truly special, lovable Newt! I can tell he had a terrific day with his loving family. He sure looks to be enjoying his cute carrot cottage tremendously! I'm sure you received plenty of extra cuddles and whisker kisses for that amazing present, lol.

Re: Newt's thread
Happy belated birthday newt! I haven't been able to get on the forum much lately but have so enjoyed reading this thread this morning. What a little poppet he is. Have lots more fun times in your second year, little Newt! xx

Re: Newt's thread
Thank you Herbie! I can't believe I haven't updated Newt's thread since the end of March! So am adding some photos of him taken in April - some of them were used on the April thread.
Meanwhile Newt continues to be a digger and mover and has moved an awful lot of substrate around his house in the last month or so since the heating went off. He has then dug a tunnel from the entrance to his house, through the pile. If I don't have his food out by 8pm I find him sitting in his little ceramic house on the shelf waiting for the food to appear! So have started feeding him a bit earlier. He is a spoilt hamster and gets all sorts. I use the rat ball for him sometimes these days occasionally, which he has now mastered and seems to enjoy because he jumps in it and when you let him out he doesn't want to come out and tries to run and make it move! But mostly he enjoys sofa time.

Oh what a sweetie! You've taken some lovely pics of him! That's one happy, trusting hamster! I love his colouring too, he's really pretty!

Re: Newt's thread
Newtie looks very handsome indeed. Grown up and chilled out with you on the sofa. He has such an adorable face!
