Re: Newt's thread
Thank you Dreamtree It was nice seeing him looking relaxed and happy after he's been a bit frazzled about his housekeeping and me interfering with it

Re: Newt's thread
Awww! sleepy Newtie is so cute, looks like he likes it in there Love that last photo with just his little pink nose poking out!
Hope things are better now you've sorted his house & nest out for him.

Re: Newt's thread
Newt looks very cosy in his nest he made in his carrier - no wonder he didn't want to leave his carrier. Wonderful photos - I especially like the one of Newt yawning and last one with his cute noise poking out of the bedding.

Re: Newt's thread
Thank you SKB. The living room was nice and warm last night as we had the fire on - I'm thinking maybe he needs more heat in his room now it's getting colder. I do have heat on a bit during the day and the snugglesafe at night but he definitely seems to like warmth! He was fine when he went back in his cage. He noticed the differences but didn't seem too phased. I'd replaced the hemp mat on top of the house (he only had half a mat before) and he had a good sniff at that and disappeared down the top hole in his house. Then came out again and did some foraging. I'd put a few extra treats out and scattered some food to distract him from the change and he started filling his pouches up. I'll probably need to give him a few days to adjust to the changes at the house end now so will only get him out if he appears.

Re: Newt's thread
Newt enjoying having things extra nice and toasty by the warm of the fireplace sounds so sweet. I'm glad that he is becoming much calmer and relaxed now.

Re: Newt's thread
I'm glad that Newt has approved the changes to his cage. No wonder he didn't want to leave his carrier then as he must have been very cosy and relaxed with the heat of the fire.

Re: Newt's thread
Very cosy time indeed in his carrier, just love his cute nose peeking out in the last.
The evenings are certainly getting cooler now so he must have loved the fire on.

Re: Newt's thread
Thank you all. Yes it is getting cooler and Newt's cage is in a different room so I've started putting a heater on, on a timer in there now. Just realising the complication of having them in separate rooms overnight! I don't really want two heaters on timers overnight. I'll have to see how it goes. The lounge is warm till late at night and first thing in the morning so might be ok, except in exceptionally cold weather.
