Re: Newt's thread
Newtie is such a little sweetheart. He's quite cuddly sometimes these days. Not for long, but he'll sit on my hand for a stroke and interacts, and tonight he crawled up the sleeve of my cardigan. Lol. I did a bit of spot cleaning in his cage tonight, and changed his house. I had got another labyrinth house the same as Charlie had, as it worked well for Charlie and Newt was running out of space for hoards. In fact the whole of his house seemed to be hoard apart from his nest. The house is in the same place as the old one and just a bit bigger. He'd built a lovely big soft cosy nest so I lifted that over into the new house. He looked a bit cautious when he went back in the cage but then had a good explore and seemed to approve.
I did have a funny moment seeing the house in the cage as it reminded me of Charlie but then that moment went and Newt is making it his own. Rodipet sell legs for their houses now - they just slot on the bottom, so it was very easy - no more cutting dowels and glueing them. Anyway that's Newt's cage sorted for a couple of months. Plus lots of extra bedding.

Re: Newt's thread
So lovely that Newt approves of his labyrinth house and making it his own.

Re: Newt's thread
Oh, how wonderful that Newtie is extra cuddly these days. I'm sure that you are having the time of your life. Aww, so sweet that Newtie enjoyed his new labyrinth house. Lol, that he filled it full of his precious horde; thankfully he managed to leave a little room for his nest and himself. Otherwise, he might need a second house just so he can live "indoors", lol.

Re: Newt's thread
Aww lovely cuddly Newtie What a sweet boy he is bless him
I'm sure he'll enjoy the new house, I can imagine that moment remembering Charlie & his house, I'm sure he'll be very happy to see Newt enjoying the same.
Thanks for mentioning about the legs, might have to check that out.

Is this all mine?

Inside his new house (it might have been rearranged by now - I just put his hoard and nest where I thought they might work)

Re: Newt's thread
Love the new photos of Newtie. He has such a sweet face! House layout looks good. Will be interesting to see what he does with it. There must have been some feedback for the website to make compatible legs available. Maybe many people did what you did before with Charlie's and asked for them.

Re: Newt's thread
Well he doesn't seem to have come out of yet, so I guess he does It's a bit raised so he might start tunneling under it or something.

Re: Newt's thread
Newt looks like he's grown a lot lately, he's a big boy now, without the baby face and such a handsome lad. I love that labyrinth house and I bet Newt does too. I've seen a couple online but it's not clear what size hamster they would suit.
His last picture with his corn is my favourite.
