Re: Newt's thread
I weighed Newtie again last night. He seems to have settled out at 172g as he has been that weight for a couple of weeks now.

Re: Newt's thread
An impressive weight for sure! He's grown so much since we first saw him. It's really been lovely to follow his story

Re: Newt's thread
That is a good size for him. I seem tor remember Souffle predicting his adult weight to end up being around that level? And who knows, he may yet have one final spurt despite only being 10 weeks old (well, 10 weeks on Sunday), since getting his wheel Quigley’s weight has stayed the same too (well, he’s actually lost 3g but still) so I think he may also have reached this adult size, albeit a little earlier than I had anticipated.

Re: Newt's thread
Good weight at Newtie's age. Maybe a little more to come.

Re: Newt's thread
Aww bless Newt not wanting to come out incase you changed it lol!
I loved his video on the saucer, he's so gotten the hang of it.
I've got a soft spot for your boy, he gets cuter each time I see him.

Re: Newt's thread
Thank you Drago, April, Coco, CMB and Thin Lizzy. Yes he has settled in well. Especially since I put the extra sputnik in - he comes out earlier now - it maybe makes him feel a bit safer in the cage with more overhead things.

Re: Newt's thread
Just catching up on adorable Newtie's thread. He looks so sweet coming up to the video camera in the video of him exploring his new cage setup. Great looking layout, btw! I also love the way you added the flip video changes and the music background in his previous saucer conquering video. Newtie sure has grown quite a bit since that was taken. He is getting cuter and cuter as time goes by if that is even possible. I so love him!

Re: Newt's thread
Newtie has become a dopey teenager I noticed recently he is slowing/calming down a bit. Instead of rushing around like a mad thing every night, he rushes around energetically some nights but other nights is more relaxed. He must be about 13 in human years.
Tonight he was suddenly very tame. I've always been able to stroke him, which he seemed to like, but he has always been so energetic that he didn't like being held for long.
Tonight he just sat next to me on the sofa for ages and had lots of stroking. I think I lulled him into being very relaxed as he then curled up under a cushion. Normally he tries to leap off the sofa and runs all over it, although occasionally just sits for a wash.
Anyway seeing him relaxing under a cushion I decided to try him with the donut bed. I got a new one a while back and he's just sniffed it a few times in the playpen or walked over the top of it. So I picked him up and put him in the donut bed and he just sort of laid there looking surprised. So I then put him back under the cushion in the donut bed and a few minutes later peeked and saw - this.....
Newtie is lovely and tame with me I think now. Or jusy being a dopey teenager - lol. Or maybe he's just being clingy because I just told him we would be away for a couple of nights
