Re: Newt's thread
Thank you April, Coco, Dreamtree and CMB Dreamtree, Newtie is at this moment running around in the playpen so I gave him the message from Eros and the high four and he mastered the high four quite well. He says to tell Eros that the trick when eating cameras is just to destroy them rather than pouch them by lots of chewing. They don't taste very nice but it's fun making them rock, looking round the back and biting them just for something to chew.
Newtie likes rocking things and pushing them over lol. Willow is a bit smaller so I can imagine it might alarm her.

Re: Newt's thread
He's an absolute fluffy delight, that cheeky face always brings a smile to my face. He does blend into the carpet.

Re: Newt's thread
Loved the last couple of videos of Newt. He is very clever to work out exactly how to use his saucer as a means of escape, unfortunately that is one tip that I won't be reading out to my boys Newt sorry lol!
The shaking coconut was so funny, though was he trying to eat the carpet again when you picked him up and put a toilet rull tube down?

Re: Newt's thread
Thank you Blueray, Cypher, Boris and Thin Lizzy Yes he has chewed a massive hole in the carpet in that corner - had a go at it a few times. I really should have put something down on the floor! He does it when I leave him alone in the playpen for 10 minutes or so. The toilet roll was a treat cracker and he enjoyed that! I now have a ceramic pot in that corner. He doesn't seem interested in the other corners, just that one.

Re: Newt's thread
Sorry to hear that Newt is so loyal to that specific corner of the carpet. Loyalty is a good thing unless it is loyalty to chewing a corner piece of the carpet to bits. LOL! Luckily, Eros hasn't done that yet, I am keeping my fingers crossed that she never acquires the taste for carpet. I'm so sorry, Newt, but your suggestion of chewing the camera to bits is definitely one tip that I'm not comfortable sharing with Eros. I certainly don't want her to get any more crazy ideas of adding "munching jaws of steel" to her repertoire of skills. After all, she is a Bond agent not the villainous henchmen named Jaws from The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker. LOL! Call me a selfish, unsharing mum, but I couldn't have Eros eat my camera for a midnight snack. It might even cause her indigestion, too.

Re: Newt's thread
Ah Quigley tried pulling up the carpet in the corner of his Arizona ranch playpen. That was when my mum decided we had to put some cardboard down over the carpet. That stopped the digging. I'd imagine it will be difficult o find cardboard big enough, though. Fortunately, we had kept the cardboard box which the playpen came in so I used that for Quigley.

Re: Newt's thread
I noticed you had cardboard down and I thought - what a good idea! I have yet to find some big enough pieces of cardboard.

Re: Newt's thread
You might could go to an appliance store and see if they have any boxes that stored refrigerators, stoves, washers, or dryers. They usually have a few extra large boxes that the can give out. Good luck!
