I did enjoy all of this thread. What a lovely start on HC for a beautiful boy! The videos were great. With Mocho over 2 now, like you and Ruby, I hadn't seen such a busy youngster for awhile now! Newt is going to have a great life with you and the family (even if an iPod is still a big attraction as I heard!). Soufflé must enjoy seeing her pups settle into their new lives.

Newtie's still digging He is underneath the shelf on the left making a lot of noises - sort of flapping, rustling and stamping noises - it sounds like their are 10 hamsters under there. Just wondering if he is digging his way out of the cage base! I wish the base was see through so I could see what he's doing!

He had some time out in the playpen again tonight and did lots of running around and climbing over me and I handled him and stroked him a bit. I think I'll get him out earlier for handling as he is full of energy late in the evening!

Lovely to hear he's settling well and enjoys being handled. It's so nice how much time souffle puts into these little ones!

I love hearing my hams burrow about, I often wonder what secrets they're hiding under the bedding! Do they make a cage (other than a tank) with a clear bottom? It would be cool if they did

Lovely videos of Newt exploring his new cage, he looks like he is enjoying himself and it so nice to see him settling in well. It was so cute watching him eat his broccoli. It also really nice that he is already tame, and is enjoying being handled.

Watched the next two videos last night. My, he is a very agile ham! He is clearly happy with his new home and he loved that broccoli!

Oh goodness! I thought the embedded thing was better lol. I will post the links as well but at the moment Youtube seems to be doing funny things. When I open the page it's all messed up.
