Yes he is much more cuddly on the sofa and doesn't move as fast lol. In the playpen he has so much space he rarely sits still unless it's for a wash and seems to think of it like another big cage so he's not keen on "the hand" coming in the playpen, although doesn't mind the whole of me being in it I think he liked the cosiness of the sofa and cushions and looked quite contented and sat next to me for a wash for a while. He also likes my furry hat lol.

Awww Newt sounds like a speedy little boy! Even when Mushu has the entire hall floor to run in, he tends to spend most of his time sitting next to me grooming lol. He's a lazy little guy. At least it means I get plenty of strokes though

That sounds like a nice alternative to the playpen then. Nothing like a good grooming session on that sofa of yours Serendipity!

I Love that Newt had an adventure to the sofa total bliss! Harvey loves the sofas.

Thank you April, Coco and Thin Lizzy I repeated the wake up and sofa time last night. It seems to be working in getting Newtie up earlier as he was already awake in his house when I lifted the roof off, but had learned not to be tricked into the tube! So I put his coconut shell in front of him and he hopped into that.

He had a nice long wash in his coconut shell on the sofa. He has picked up some intellectual habits from us since being in the living room and decided to read the newspaper for a while.

He learned about fireplaces and MOT centres

Read right to the end of the article!

Then read about windows having glass in them

And asked why he didn't have any glass windows. I said they would let too much light into his house.

Here he is in his coconut and sitting on the sofa (those white blobs are paint on my trousers - oops )

He was much more active last night and had worked out how to climb the newspaper and try and jump off, so he had to go back in the playpen for a bit

Newt looks so sweet sitting in his coconut shell! The pictures of him reading the newspaper are funny, and they also shows how big he is now! Lovely that he is getting used to coming out for playtime earlier now.

What an intellectual well educated little man ham Newt is becoming
He does look so sweet in his coconut, the look on his face is just so adorable!
Sounds like play time is a lot of fun for all of you

I still can't believe just how big little Newtie has gotten. I love his colors too, so rich and vibrant. He's a very happy and healthy looking ham
