Drago he's always like that, whether he has a gob full of food or not. He'll let me stroke him whatever he is doing, which is really nice.

Serendipity I think maybe he is hoping if his fur grows long enough he can re enact Rapunzel from the top of that shelf

Burakki It actually wasn't Mushu's first peanut as he has had the pre shelled type before, but it was the first time he shelled one himself. I wonder how Marti would fare with a monkeynut...

WEIGH IN

Mushu is now 147g at approximately 17 weeks old. That's 6g gained since last week. So, he is still growing pretty steadily.

He got a bit of fresh banana last night, which is a rare treat for him. I actually didn't let him have the whole piece because I know it isn't the most healthy treat.



After initially ignoring it, over the past week Mushu has been going at his whimzee pretty enthusiastically. This morning, it has totally vanished. I don't know whether he ate it, or dragged it into his house. Looks as though I'm going to have to get him another one.

Oh and I thought this photo was priceless. I'd just put him home and he was pretty put out about it and wanted to come out again!

Oh my! That last photo is really priceless. Mushu is not half dog, is he? Because he mastered puppy dog eyes! I hope you did take him out for some more playtime?
Glad to hear that he's putting on weight!
I'll get Marti a monkey nut when I see it in the store, and will post how she managed it. Yesterday she tried a strawberry but was not a big fan. Probably because it was a bit too sour.

Awe, what a heartbreaker Mushu truly is! His pleading and begging, puppy dog eyes are just melting me into a puddle on the floor. I could just imagine him whimpering if he could so he would never have to spend a mere second away from his beloved Mum. I couldn't stand to ever say no to such a sweetie after that tear jerking look he so completely and utterly mastered. All the sympathy in the world goes out to your darling Mushu for having to be away from the one he adores, and of course a huge hug to you AprilPearl for having to say no sometimes.

Burakki Now that you mention it, I think his three times great grandfather had some chihuahua in him and of course I got Mushu out again - he always gets what he wants. Mushu hasn't tried fresh strawberry, but there is some dried strawberry in his dried fruit treat mix which he enjoys.
