Today Servant has been to see my "cousins", the rat twins. It was the first time she has seen them in aboout 6 weeks. She said she couldnt believe how big and heavy they were compared to me. Here is a pic she took of my "cousins" Patsy and Eddie ( I dont know who is who)



She came home a bit later tonight and caught me wearing my mischief face. For future reference, this is my mischief face



She watched me potter about my cage suspiciously, we had a cuddle for a bit before she put me back in the cage. She got up to go to the bathroom and snuck back in and caught me in the act of..... well, let me show you....



Lets just say she IS NOT impressed by my latest work. In fact, I havent seen her this mad for a long time. I may have gone to far this time. She put me in the ball while she cut some super chunky cardboard pieces to size and wedged it in between the bars in front of the chew patch and then rearranged the area a bit and pushed the wheel right against it. Then she changed my water, refilled the food bowl and has gone to bed without giving me a goodnight cuddle or telling me she loves me. I think I done a bad

You've certainly done a number on your detolf, the cardboard solution should hold you off until your servant finds a permanent fix. Has your servant thought about gluing plexiglass there instead?

Gluing plexiglass would probably be a bad idea,as it most likely wouldn't hold up(aquarium sealant wouldn't work either as plexiglass aka acrylic doesn't bond with sealant but instead requires specialized products to fuse acrylic pieces to other acrylic pieces on a molecular level).However,firmly clamped on as a temporary fix it could work although it may be cheaper to do the same with glass that is as thick as the rest of the Detolf glass.

Psst, Khali! This is Eros trying to come to your rescue. What's the problem, sweet Khali? Uh, oh, Khali! Your face definitely looks extremely suspicious. I don't even know if the evil twin could help you with this one naughtiness. Oh, wait just a second there! You could always blame it on your adorable, but equally mischievous looking, cousins Patsy and Eddie. After all, your Mum just came home from visiting them, and they could have slipped into your house as an incognito passenger to do the destructive deed. If all else fails, just give your Mum some EXTRA whisker kissies, and that should most definitely do the trick. You are just too cute, lovable, and cuddly to not be forgiven by your doting Mum!

Eros and AprilPearl I dont think my cuteness is going to save me this time. She is still mad. She was up early this morning for work and didnt say good morning to me, or even speak to me at all. I have tried all of my cute poses and faces to no avail. At least she is kind of talking to me again. She was putting a bolt into the hole i was chewing and I went over to try and give her cuddles to say sorry, but she kept shooing me away. She said no cuddles for naughty hammies. I am still allowed to play in my ball but she wont play with me or give me cuddles. I will continue to practice my "Im sorry" face in the hope she will forgive me soon

Yikes the jaws of doom are back!! Such a cheeky face you have Khaleesi, your poor servant having to fix the hole after all her hard work building your mansion. As AP says though no one could stay mad at that precious face lol

Jennie, this is Eros speaking. I can understand that you are disappointed in the mystery culprit's handywork, but PLEEEASE, pretty, pretty pleEEEEEEEEASE don't be mad with my friend Khali! I'm sure she isn't to blame - it could be her evil twin, or even the cousins, or just slightly, possibly Khali herself. However, if it is truly Khali's hole endeavor, she can't help herself at times - you just make such yummy mansions and stuff for her to gnaw on, you know? Us hammies just like to chew on things - it's our own, very special way of showing appreciation and approval for all our two-legged's D.I.Y. creations. Take it as a much deserved compliment on your artistry and hard work. After all, who can truly stay mad at a hammy as cute and precious as dear Khali?

Jennie, this is Dreamtree. I am so very sorry that Khali has been up to her mischief again. I truly hope that she forgets about the hole soon, and doesn't get into any more naughtiness in the near future. Wow, are her jaws of steel strong and quite determined! I hope that you are able to fix it because I know how hard you must have worked to make such a gorgeous palace for your sweetie, and you certainly don't want it to be gnawed to pieces by her. Good luck and fingers crossed that it will all be fixed soon and with not too much hassle. Who knows, maybe one day this will be just another one of those silly story to remember and laugh about one day when you think of all of your sweetie's adventures. I have often realized that sometimes with pets (and humans, as well) the most frustrating of occurrences during the time become some of the most memorable moments that you learn to cherish in the future. I'm sure your servant will have calmed down by the time she gets in from work.
