Re: Duncan's thread
Lovely videos of Duncan, he's such a bundle of energy lol. It always makes him seem so much younger than he is, plus he looks so young as well I too am glad Duncan has you for an owner, even if he is a rascal you will never give up on him. Plus his rascal-ness makes him all the more endearing.
Sorry to hear you've been under the weather, glad to hear you're on the mend though

Re: Duncan's thread
Wonderful videos of Duncan. He does look like a little rascal - it was funny seeing how he spilled the oats over the floor - hamsters do like to create a mess for us to clear up for them!
He is so lucky to have you as his owner! I think he will enjoy coming out more as from those video as he looks like he was having a lot of fun during his playtime - he has a very special personality!
Glad to hear that you are feeling better!

Re: Duncan's thread
Hello everyone, how are you doing? I've been away for quite a while I know, and I'm going to be for a few more weeks. I just wanted to pop in to say hello and catch up on some HC news. Duncan and Kopi are both doing excellently and I'm spending some good quality time with them. Duncan got an upgrade, so I'll share that with all of you once I'm back. I'm on a bit of a hiatus while I finish up some business in life, work on starting up my hamstery, and take some time away from the Internet. I hope you're all doing well, and continue to do well. I plan to return around the 29th of August, but may stop in a bit before that time See you around!

I'm so glad that you are having a lot of time playing with Duncan and Kopi and they are both doing great. I look forward to hearing about and seeing pics of Duncan's latest upgrade. I, too, hope it's completely chew proof, lol. Have fun setting up you hamstery; I'm so thrilled for you and look forward to hearing more about it whenever you get a chance. Take care, Drago.

Re: Duncan's thread
I'm back!
Yes my hiatus is over (and I'm late to return of course) and I'm incredibly excited to return! Duncan and Kopi are still doing well, and surprisingly enough, Duncan hasn't gotten out of his new cage. He's in a 35 gallon tank which may become his permanent home as it's been nice not to stress over him escaping in the night. However, I've returned to my old woodworking shop and so I have lots of access to some good tools and wood. I may just end up making him and my other critters some homemade cages!
As for what has been going on with me and my menagerie in general...
My mice have not done well, most have died of an unknown illness that ran rampant through the animal room. It was horrible having to deal with whatever it was, and I ended up losing all but two mice. The only remaining mice are Neville and Tobias. The vet wasn't much help in determining what it was, only saying it was likely something viral.
My hamstery is still happening, I'm still researching and slowly building things up. Buying toys, bedding, perfecting diets, and adding to my funds. I don't know for sure when exactly it will be ready, but my hope is before 2018
For the reptile fanatics out there, I now run a small crested gecko rescue. There's been an influx of homeless and neglected geckos, but nowhere for them to go. Thus, I've finally decided to offer a home for these little critters.
I've gotten back into betta breeding and showing. I'm awfully excited to show off some of my newest experiments and batches, it's been a while since I last bred these guys. I hope for more success
Lastly, I will have Duncan for one full year the 26th of this month. He's older than one year as he was 6 months old when he was gifted to me, but I will still be calling this his "birthday"
That was a lot! That just about sums up everything that has gone on since I've been offline (perhaps you can now see why I've not been around lol). Hope you all had a great summer

Re: Duncan's thread
Welcome back, Drago!
Firstly, I am so sorry to hear about your mice. That must have been a heartbreaking ordeal. The not knowing the cause makes it worse (that will always haunt me about Mushu's death). Rest assured that nobody could have provided them with a more caring home. I do hope that Tobias and Neville will be with you for quite some time to come. Give the little guys my love.
I am glad to hear that Duncan and Kopi are doing well and that Duncan hasn't had any escapes recently! I hope you have something special planned for Duncan's gotcha day
It's exciting to think that you might be able to start your hamstery soon. It sounds as though you have been very thorough in your research and preparations and I very much admire that.
How lovely of you to set up a gecko rescue. I am sure they will all be well cared for with you.
I've always thought bettas were rather beautiful - I'd love to see some pictures of yours.
