Re: Duncan's thread
Hope you're exams went well Drago and you don't have to wait to long for the results
Duncan is looking a bit mean in the last two pics I hope he hasn't been getting ideas from my Artie fierceface lol. He looks very cute and small in the first pic, he looks cute in them all really What a handsome man he is. Glad to hear he's settling in his cage now and isn't trying to escape anymore.
Sorry to hear about Snickers too.

Re: Duncan's thread
Hope the exams all go well Drago, and that life becomes more manageable. Sorry about Snickers too she sounds as though she had a good long life, though.
Duncan looks so sweet and young, actually, in those pictures. I just want to cuddle him in that first photo.

Re: Duncan's thread
I'm back!
Exams are done- I did pretty well luckily enough. My personal problems have been sorted too so I'm back in order again. I wanted to update you guys on things that I've not shared a resolution to,
Syrian Foster
This fell through Well, I assume it did at least. I never heard back from the person and when pickup rolled around, they didn't answer so I didn't drive out to go and collect the ham. I'm sad it fell through, but I hope the ham found a good home wherever she is!
Duncan's (former) cage
Yes you read it right- he lasted an entire week before chewing through plexiglass to his freedom! So unfortunately, he cannot remain in his wonderful age due to his tendency to escape, and my fear that he will chew through the carpet to escape into the house (where my rodent hunting dogs like to roam). He has been downgraded to a 20 long again and it's back to the drawing board for me. I may well end up selling this cage so that someone will a less mouthy ham can inherit it and all its 3,000 sq in glory. Next plan would be to create a custom glass tank so that he can live in a reasonable sized habitat, but also not escape. Because he's such an escape artist, we need to compromise. Large DIY cages don't work for him, but a small secure cage would leave him unhappy. I need to find a medium cage- one that's secure but also is of a decent size. Wish me luck!
Now to share some pics of Dunc himself
If only they could see their reflections...
Poor quality, but look how cuddly he is
I'm shocked, but somehow, he fit through a toilet tube!
Agh look at those whiskers
The neighbors paid a visit and their little ones just had to hold the "Rat"
They were very gentle with him, I was pleasantly surprised by this!
I will keep this thread better updated from now on. Hope you're all having a wonderful week

Re: Duncan's thread
Drago, I am so thrilled for you that all of your exams are finally over and you did well on all of them. Congrats!!!! I sorry that the Syrian fostering didn't go through as you had hoped. What a shame for both you and hammy since you would have given it such an amazing home, but hopefully it will be in a nice, loving home soon. Sorry to hear that Drago will not be living in his DIY palace you built especially for him, but I definitely understand that it wouldn't be wise since he is apparently quite the Houdini. I am sure that you will find the perfect solution for his new palace since you always come up with such wonderful ideas for you mischievous, yet totally charming, Duncan. I absolutely love all of the new, gorgeous and funny pics of Duncan. I especially love the pic of him admiring himself in the mirror. He knows he is truly handsome dude and looks so intrigued by his reflection - how utterly precious!!! LOL, the pic of Duncan popping his head out of the toilet tissue tube is quite hysterical. I just love how hammies squeeze themselves through the tiniest of places. Duncan never disappoints in getting me to smile from ear to ear. I totally love him!!! He is truly such a character.

Re: Duncan's thread
Congrats on finishing your exams. Naughty Duncan with the chewing! He and Quigley have obviously been talking hope you manage to find a cage big enough for him which he cannot do a “great escape” from. Hard to believe him capable of it in those photos - he looks so innocent. I always want to cuddle Duncan!

Re: Duncan's thread
Congrats on getting your exams finished Drago
It's a shame the fostering fell through, maybe another opportunity will arise
I can't believe Duncan chewed through your hard work! What a little menace he is lol. He is cute though and snuggly so it's probably impossible to stay mad at him for too long. I do love the pic of him in the toilet roll tube lol.
