Unhappy urgent help! male syrian's lump near the butt!

Hello everyone!!

I have a 3 month old male syrian hamster, and today I assumed that presumably one of his testicles have become quite large and flaccid. We have a warm room and he is very energetic, but we have never seen this it until today. He exhibited no abnormal behavior/physical problems and was very active!

I want to just double check with you guys if it is actually normal (i.e. hanging it loose due to dispersing heat) or do I need to go visit a vet with him??

Thanks a lot guys!

Lipsy, if the temperature in the room is approximately the same and you have never noticed this before, I would definitely suggest going to a vet to have him checked. You want to make sure that there is no underlying reason for this that can be simply cured by a vet visit. I will be wishing you both the very best, and I hope all goes well. If possible, send an update whenever you have an opportunity to do so.

Could you possibly share a picture? Sometimes a male hamster's genitals will appear disproportionate and can be perfectly normal. As asked above, is the room temp abnormally warmer than usual? If you can share some pictures it would really help
