Sammy the Ham
Everyone I would like you to meet Sammy, my (roughly) 1 year old syrian hamster. He is a cute little guy, or at least I think so, and I am happy to be his momma. I rescued adopted him after he was returned to a let store. I'm sure someone's child grew tired of him. He was still only about 9 weeks old when I got him. He loves running on his wheel and plotting escape attempts.
I'd love to see some of your syrians as well.
Also, any idea on his coloring? I was thinking golden banded?

I'm afraid hamster colour patterns aren't really my specialist subject, so I'll let someone else who knows more about them than I do make a judgement. Congrats on rescuing/adopting Sammy! He is such a gorgeous little fellow. I am unsure of the coloring unfortunately, but I am sure that people in this community will be able to help you.
I too am a mum of a male Syrian hamster named Eros that has thoroughly burrowed into my heart exactly three weeks ago to the day. It is quite funny, but he looks quite similar to your special, furry fellow. I am also interested in knowing the coloring of mine. Below are pictures of my Eros:
