Hi new to community and hamsters
Hi everyone! I am new to the community and new to hamsters although not new to rodents. I used to breed pet rats. I live in Florida and I have 2 male Syrian hamsters thanks to my neice who got tired of them. Im not sure what color or pattern they are but they are super sweet and I love them. They used to be housed together but I seperated them when I learned that syrians are solo animals. Unfortunately fluffy (the more white one) has a missing eye but it doesnt slow him down. I will attach pictures below. The brown one is named Caramel. My kids named them lol
Thanks
Christina

Hi Christina and Welcome to HC.
Good on you taking in Fluffy & Caramel who are both so lovely!
Thank goodness you separated them, did Fluffy lose his eye due to being out in with Caramel?

Re: Hi new to community and hamsters
Hello and welcome aboard to you, Fluffy, and Caramel! It's an excellent thing that you seperated them, and they'll be much happier and healthier now that they're not together. Looking forward to hearing updates on those two

Hi & welcome to HC
Shame about Fluffy's eye but good to know they are both being kept separately & living a good life now.

Hello and Welcome to Hamster Central. Fluffy and Caramel look so sweet in the photos. It good that you have separated them and are in a loving home. Shame about Fluffy eye but it great that it doesn't slow him down.

Re: Hi new to community and hamsters
Greetings and welcome to Hamster Central, Christina and kids! I am so happy to meet you all. Congrats on your adopting Fluffy and Caramel from your niece, although I wish that it was under better circumstances. I wish that your niece didn't tire of her pets, but at least they have a loving home provided by you. I couldn't be happier for them that they have you to love and raise them. I am so glad that you separated your Syrians so they couldn't do any further harm to one another. I am so sorry to hear that Fluffy lost his eye, but at least it doesn't seem to hinder his wonderful quality of life. I hope that you, your kids, and your two special furry friends have many more years together - may it be filled with all the happiness. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Good luck with your newest members of your family. I would love to see more pics of them when they are thoroughly settled in. They look so cute.
