Eros - A 007 Hammy Secret Agent!

Thanks for all the lovely comments, BP, Thin Lizzy, SKB, Turrican, Cypher, and Coco. Yes, my fluffy girls and I had such a wonderful time with Santa that we went to see him again the very next day, lol. I guess you could truly say that we are HUGE Santa fans, lol. I was so pleased that Santa was equally eager to see us, too. We all had the greatest time ever, and the memories we made were truly memorable and precious.


Snickers - When Santa saw Snickers, he beamed from ear to ear and said that she was the prettiest little princess piggy he had ever seen. He called her his little darling and gave her several loving cuddles which she totally loved receiving. When he asked her what she wanted Santa to bring her since she was a good, sweet girl, she immediately began wheeking and begging for romaine lettuce and carrots. Santa said he had fallen head over heals in love with Snickers and hopes she will be back again soon. It was SO adorable.




Eros - When Santa saw Eros, he instantly began to chuckle his jolly "HoHOHO" laugh and said she was SO cute and amusing. Santa even tickled Eros's chin and tummy which she totally loved. Of course, he let Eros crawl all over his red, fluffy suit and play with his beard, too. He said she was such a clown and very, VERY funny. When he asked Eros what she wanted Santa to bring her since she was a good and mischievous ham, she immediately climbed up Santa's sleeve and planted a ticklish whisker kiss right on his nose. Lol, she probably thought that would score her at least a few extra bonus points with Santa to compensate for her extra naughtiness lately. Santa giggled so hard and said Eros had stolen his heart, too.

Since Eros woke me up again at 1:30 in the morning by making extra loud noises on her boxes and her wheel, I decided to see what she was up to. Of course, Eros was being her usual extremely playful self and begging to come out to play and get extra cuddles from me. I thought she looked extra lovely begging on her Wheat Thins box so I decided to take a photo of her in black and white before I scooped her up to have some extra time together. I am quite tired as it seems that Eros has decided that this should become one of our rituals; I think she is trying to make sure that I feel all the extra love, lol.


The other night, Eros surprised me by picking out all of her green food from her bowl and leaving all the other colored foods right where they were. I became quite interested in what she was up to to say the least. She then crawled out of her food bowl and began pouching all the green food she had tossed over the side of the bowl. She climbed back into her bowl and then unpouched one green piece of food at a time and gently placed it on top of one another in a circular pattern until it formed the perfect little, personalized hammy-sized Christmas tree. It made me giggle that she was so creative, and I could hardly believe my eyes that she actually did it. Of course, when she was all finished with her gorgeous creation, she looked at me with such pride as if asking me what I thought of it. As you could imagine, I gave her extra cuddles and told her how amazing she is. Yes, she received extra mealworms, too, lol. She surely is a clever, festive ham, lol. So without further ado, here is Eros in action.

Psst, it's me, Eros! Is there anyone there? I know that I have been slacking a bit lately in keeping you all informed with my adventures in Mum's Christmas village that I had promised to share since earlier in the month. I'm sorry, but I have been extremely busy keeping Mum up at all hours of the night with my mischief and playing with her every chance I get throughout the day. Of course, that leaves very little time to sneak off to her keyboard thingy and do my dance on the buttons.

As I had said earlier, Mum drastically needed my expertise in setting up her precious Christmas village so I took the job extremely seriously; just kidding, I goofed around a whole lot but who could blame me when I was among all these interesting things.

Not only was there a W-A-R-M-I-N-G Hut and a wishing well, but there was a place Mum called the little manger with a weensy mouse, a silly lamb, and a friendly bluebird.


Of course, I wasn't too keen on the lamb since it surely looked awfully interested in munching on my yummy piece of cheese. I definitely had to keep a watchful eye on him as I gobbled up all the cheesiness with amazing speed.


To my great joy, there was also a choir of bluebirds singing with a two-legged angel conducting them just like beloved Sir Mocho Rattle did for our Electric Hammy Orchestra. Of course, I definitely wanted to do my part to make sweet music for all the hamgang pals who have passed on to the Rainbow Bridge to hear. There are many precious hams that have gone to the large hammy wheel in the sky, but they will forever be remembered, missed, and loved by all of us so I wanted to let them feel all the love by playing the loudest music ever. At first I tried playing the mealworm clarinet, but then it suddenly disappeared into thin air so I opted to become a hamdrum instead. I thought that this would be quite a wise option since I thought the drum is the loudest and boldest instrument ever. I even let the Angelic, two-legged conductor use me as a drum since I didn't see any around.





Then, I decided that the choir should perform at a totally different location after all. I thought a background with multi-colored paw prints would be much more fitting to please all the hammies at the bridge so they would realize all the music was performed in their honor.


I even checked to make sure there would be no wardrobe malfunctions, too. Yes, the wingy thingy was fully attached and the halo, hatty thingy was right where it belonged. Sir Mocho Rattle would have been quite pleased with my attention to all the details.



I then gave special instructions to lefty birdy that he needed to remain in tune throughout the song so his lovely voice will soar to the heavens and reach the ears of all those beloved hams there. Then, we practiced and practiced and practiced each of our parts as I became the drum once again. When all the music sounded as beautiful as possible, I sat back and listened to what we had created and began my very special crunching sounds as an added percussion touch.

Eros, what a wonderful Christmas photo shoot with the angels. Thank you for paying so much attention to all the details. Love you checking to see the halo was properly attached. I see you have remembered so much of what you learned with Sir Mocho and the EHO. It is a special time of the year and your musical tribute to hammies over the rainbow bridge is deeply touching and much appreciated.

We certainly had so many laughs doing them, lol. Coco, we are also so glad that loved the photo shoot with the angel and bluebirds. Sir Mocho, Zen, and all our dear hammy friends at the Rainbow bridge are greatly missed and loved. Every time we see a twinkling star, a beautiful rainbow, or a delicate snowflake we are remembered of all those that have touched our hearts. Christmas is a time for family and friends, laughter and love, and remembrance of all those no longer with us.

What do we have here? Is that velvety red and white fluffy thing another part of Santa Paws's suit or hat? Hmm. . . . . "I Believe In Santa Paws". . . . O.K. that must be one of those S-T-O-C-K-I-N-G thingies that Mum will place over the fireplace mantle so Santa Claus and Santa Paws will know where to place the extra presents and treats. I'm so glad that I have been extra hyper, mischievous, and naughty - but nice, too (of course). Mum sure has a huge S-T-O-C-K-I-N-G thingy for me. Goody! I sure like mine to be extra stuffed and overflowing if you know what I mean, lol. I believe thoughtful Mum may have left a few of these scrumptious mealworms for my tummy to have a tasty preliminary practice run for upcoming events come Christmas morning. Mmmn, MmmNN, Nyum-yum - GOOD!!!!


Umm. . . who put that miniature Volkswagon Beetle there? I sure hope that the puppy has his seat belt on securely since he seems to have his face poking out of the window. Be careful since the shiny, sparkly, round things may make the "Staching Through the Snow" a bit difficult. (That is another funny play on words since there are festive mustaches all over the background so it is "staching" instead of "dashing", lol.) I think my Mum is a bit cheesy with her sense of humor, but that just makes us the perfect match since I love and appreciate cheesy cheesiness so very, VERY much. Not only does it make me extra hungry to think about cheese, but it also sure makes me, my eyes, my pouches, AND my tummy extra, EXTRA happy.


Yippee! Hooray! Squeak! SQUEEEEEAKKKKKKKKK!!! Just wait one moment please. I will gladly remove that lovely Christmas tree of yours now, if you don't mind. I have the perfect spot for this festive beauty since my previous edible tree that I made the other day has just disappeared completely from my cozy home in the Jimmy Dean sausage box. I think the green Grinchy has borrowed and place it in the center of Who-ville so all the Whos can gather around hand-in-hand and sing their Who-Christmas-Sing. Oopsy oops! I just remembered that I may have snacked on all of it last night because my edible tree was calling my name, and I just couldn't resist the urge. If I didn't have so much fur on my cheeks, you could probably realize that I am now blushing.



Oh, no!!!! Mum, I can't seem to get this stubborn tree off the car, and the woofy doggy won't even help me. I guess he might just be on Santa Paws's EXTREMELY naughty list this year because he isn't even pretending to be as helpful as the Grinchy's reindeer-doggy friend Max.


Oh, well! I think I might just put these mealworms back where I found them and go off to my cozy nest to pout a bit.

Love, Love all of Eros's and Snicker Christmas photoshoots - it so lovely seeing them enjoying the festivities especially by meeting Santa. It was cute seeing Eros had made a beautiful Christmas tree from the green pieces from her food bowl - obviously knowing Santa leaves presents beneath the tree so it a must to have one! A very smart girl indeed! Looks like she had a lot of fun exploring the Christmas village as well as listening too and helping out with the angles Christmas bluebird orchestra! Eros looks so sweet beside her Christmas stocking - Pumpkins very pleased to see Eros has one too! - I'm sure Santa Paws will have no problem filling that up for you with lots of presents!

BP, I don't quite understand how Eros has such infinite, high-level energy all the time. She sure is the Energizer Hammy right now so I definitely know my nickname Baby Bee for her is extremely fitting because she is constantly up to something, lol. I just wish that I had half her amount of energy since right now I am getting awfully tired but enjoying every moment of our special quality time together, too. She sure is the creative adventurer.

SKB, I have to agree with you that Santa Paws surely will be filling Eros's stocking to the max and placing tons of stuff under the tree, too. Lol!

Today, I decided to let Eros try popcorn for the very first time. Although I really do not care for the taste or smell of popcorn unless it is smothered in chocolate or toffee-caramel or hanging as a lovely garland on a Christmas tree, I thought it would be something extra special and festive to let Eros have some yummy fun with it. I created a trail of plain popcorn on top of the tinsel garland and watched her scavenger hunt around for each individual piece. Surprisingly, she did not even take more than a second to decide whether or not she was willing to try this new treat; this was truly unlike her typical "picky-at-first" and then "begging-for-it-later" self. I guess she wanted to show the Elf Mouse that she was being so extra good so he would have a great report to give Santa Paws at the North HamPole. She scurried as quickly as possible and pouched every single piece so she could munch on them in peace by the glistening poinsettia (artificial of course so no fears of poisoning). Here are the only halfway decent pics that I was able to capture since she moved too quickly for both me and the camera, lol. As you probably guessed, I have quite a few blurry streaks representing Eros zooming by in all the other photos.
