Eros - A 007 Hammy Secret Agent!

Thanks, Cypher and Thin Lizzy! We have such a lovely time together. I just wish that I never needed to sleep so I could always stay up and play with my sweet Eros. I am going to try to coax her back to waking up slightly earlier in the evening if I can so we can have much more playtime before I have to get to bed. She used to wake up so much earlier sometimes even in the late afternoon, so I know that I have been quite lucky. I just wish that she was still on her earlier waking up schedule, but I know that a hammy's sleeping habits often change a bit over time, so until things change, I will just have to be satisfied with all the time that I have.

I wish hamsters weren’t nocturnal we did have one hamster, called Kevin, who was up all day though! He spent most of the time we were home out in the play pen, because he would chew and chew at the bars until we let him out.

Thanks, AprilPearl! I appreciate your sweet comments, and I know that Eros will too once she decides to awaken from her beauty nap. I am sure that Eros will be shocked that Quigley does not appreciate a juicy and refreshing, sweet pepper. I'm afraid that if Eros goes over to help persuade him to give the peppers another chance, she may just come home with overstuffed pouches instead. She is quite persuasive, but maybe not always how you would have intended her to be.

Since I am awaiting Sleeping Beauty Eros to arise from her beddy-bye time, I decided to take the opportunity to snap a few photos of her all snuggly in her comfy and cozy, burrowed nest. I thought that she looked so cute, and (of course) I couldn't help but share some pics with all of you. Please excuse the blurriness of the photos and the streaks in them, too. It is impossible for me to capture really crisp ones since she is in a bin cage with a few imperfections in the walls. I hope that you enjoy them anyways, though. I am so grateful that she has taken to nesting in the front part of her bin so I can enjoy watching her while she sleeps whenever the chance arises. Please forgive me for being slightly photo happy; I am just a very proud Mum who can't get enough of her fur baby!

I just love how hammies cuddle up into a furry ball as they sleep. It makes me so extremely happy to see that there is absolute bliss and all is good. Sweet dreams, Eros!

I hear you popcorning again, Snickers. I suppose that you loved the extra long carrot, but did you really have to wake me just to let me know that you approve? Wait a minute, you aren't suppose to be spying on me Mum and C-A-M-E-R-A? I thought that I was the only sneaky one around here! Thanks for giving me the heads up, Snickers! You are truly awesome!

Sniff! Sniff! There my twitching whiskers and nosy go smelling more yummies for my grumbly tummy. Yippee!!!! I may just need to check this out before I catch a few more ZZZZZZZZ's.

Oh, Eros is just too cute. These are such good photos, I think even the slight blurriness makes them even better. They look like really high class photos from some nature magazine!
Eros looks so comfy in her nest! I think she's dreaming of endless treats and other good things hammies dream of! No way she's dreaming of something else, looking peaceful like that.

I always love catching up with Eros's thread. You always manage to get amazing photos of your incredibly gorgeous girl.
Its was so sweet seeing her searching for the mealworm in the flower. Pumpkin is pleased to see that Eros also loves mealworms too!
Eros you looked so sweet peeking out of your wheel of speed and when you where dancing with your reflection. You still look gorgeous with you slightly messy hair!
Eros is definitely a sleeping beauty - I too also love seeing hamsters curled up asleep I often like to spy on Pumpkin when she curled up napping in her grass nest - it so cute. Looks like she was having an incredible dream - I wonder if she was dreaming about mealworms?! The 5th photo is so cute - it is funny when they catch you spying on them!

Catching up with Eros! WOW it's really difficult to keep on date with so many adventures!! You're a very adventurous lady Eros!! As always it's very entertaining to read about your antics, and your photos are lovely. You look really pretty with the flower, but I almost died from a cuteness overload with your photos snuggling in the bedding!!
