That a shame that she doesn't like mealworms - as my Pumpkin would do anything for a mealworm they are her favourite treat! - although my Sherbet wouldn't touch them so I think they are a acquired taste!

Happy 2 month hamiversary Eros and Dreamtree, looks like she had a nice time on her special day.

4 of my dwarf boys love mealworms and 1 takes nothing to do with them - even the ones that look "nice". :P

Thanks Thin Lizzy, SKB_Hamsters, BorisPasha, and Hamsterita for the wonderful congrats on my 2 month adoption day that I celebrated on the 9th. I am so sorry that I haven't been posting as much lately. I have been trying desperately to exterminate those pesky mealworms that kept on infiltrating my prized and sacred treat bowl. I didn't quite get why my mum thought they were going to be one of my new favorite treats, so I just kept on slapping them with my paws and removing them from my bowl. However, they just kept on coming like a swarm of locusts and never gave up. I should have spit them out in mum's hand just like Blacky did to Hamsterita. Maybe that would have been more to the point. I called out to you all for help, but I guess you all were busy on an important mission to save the world as well. Finally, on Easter Sunday, I decided to give up on the battle against the mealworm infestation. After all, if you can't win them - join them! I decided to heed mum's advice and just give it a tiny nibble and low and behold - "I WAS HOOK LINE AND SINKER!". I love those guys and beg for more each day. Mum giggled of course as you could probably guess. She thinks I am quite silly for playing hard to get but I am glad to hear that I am not the only hammy who takes a while to warm up to these creepies.

I hope that you all had a WONDERFUL Easter holiday! My mum took me out to play with her prized Easter tree. It is a tradition in her family, and she knew that I would just love to be a part of the festivities. As she placed each of the ornament on, I tested each one by giving it a full swinging. They were perfect little toys and were just right for me to admire and ooh and awe over.


After a long time of being out of my bin, mum told me outside playtime was over. Of course, I didn't quite agree. I showed mum my disapproval by giving her the old fashion cowboy staredown. However, it didn't work this time. I suppose it was due to the fact that I wasn't adorned with a spiffy cowboy hat. Mum put me back, and there was nothing more to be said about that.



After returning back to my bin, I had to retest my skill of persuasion, and tried it on mum again. This time, I did it in my wheel of speed. She just laughed, and petted my head, telling me "not this time, Eros. . . I love you, but playtime outside is officially over". Oh well, I guess that even professional persuaders can't be lucky all the time.

My family, pets, and I had a lovely Easter. Yes, Drago, you can definitely assure Duncan that Eros's two-legged mum (a.k.a. SLAVE) has given Eros ample treats galore although she may never feel she has reached her quota! Funny how they can never seem to get enough! One day they don't want any, and the next they can't get enough.
