Aww, thank you so very much, Thin Lizzy! I definitely appreciate your message and your hugs. I miss my sweet Snickers so very much and have had countless long crying sessions. However, I then remind myself that I need to stay strong, focus on all the happy times with her because she would want me to remember her that way instead of dwelling on the last moments and all that I have lost. She is looking down on me from the bridge and in order for her to be happy I have to be, too. I'm just taking it one day at a time and am determined to make each day count with my little Baby Bee (Eros). Eros most certainly has been a true comfort and an extra sweet darling through it all, and I don't want to miss a single second that I could have spent with her, too. She keeps me quite busy and occupied with all her adventures and silly antics. I think she has revved up her craziness and increased her number of begging to come out to play and have cuddles times. I almost thought it would be impossible for her to want more since she was already an incredibly social ham, but she has, lol.

I will definitely tell Eros that you approved of all of her latest pics and wished her well on her special day. I am sure she will be meerkatting and hopping up and down on her hind legs with excitement. She reminds me of a circus miniature poodle doing its stunts, lol. She will probably have extra whisker kisses for you and Master Harvey. Please give MH a nice long cuddle for me, too. I do love that amazing, charming ham-boy of yours.

Early this morning, I made some cheesy toast to have with my cup of coffee. Once I sat down to eat my breakfast, Eros popped her adorable face out of her nest and came running to her bendy bridge as quickly as her tiny paws would take her. She immediately began hopping on her hind legs and begging to come out. Needless to say, once she was out, she insisted on sharing my cheesy toast for her breakfast, too. Once she finished nibbling her last few morsels and neatly grooming herself, she begged to go on an adventure. After she was through with her exploring all my final decorating touches for the upcoming Valentine's Day, she wanted some snuggling cuddles. A few minutes later, she sniffed expectantly at the place where she previously finished her portion of the cheesy toast and begged for more. Two seconds later, she convinced me that she needed more cheesiness and was gobbing it up speedily. Then she . . . . . . . Lol, I couldn't help but giggle because she made me feel like we were reenacting our own special version of the famous children's book If You Give A Mouse A Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff. Btw just in case you were wondering, I did manage to get a few tiny bites of my breakfast toast, too. Lol, I did so only after multiple rounds of my precious Eros being the "mouse".

I always enjoy catching up with Eros's thread - I love hearing about her adventures as well as seeing all the beautiful photos of her.
I'm so glad she had a wonderful adoption anniversary sounds like you both enjoyed your special day together - and it appears that Eros thoroughly enjoyed her heart shaped piece of broccoli! So sweet that you and Eros enjoyed watching the Winter Olympic Opening Ceremony together - in the UK it was in the morning so Pumpkin was fast asleep in her bed so she didn't get to see it!
Absolutely love the photo of Eros with the wooden blocks which spelled out Love - she looks so sweet peering through. How cute that Eros gave Eeyore some cuddles too - I'm sure it cheered him up!
So sweet that you shared some of your breakfast with your gorgeous girl - they know how to get us to give them what they want with their adorable expression that they know we can't resist! Glad you also got to enjoy some of your breakfast too!

Thanks, SKB! I do truly enjoy sharing all my breakfasts with Eros. She sure has me wrapped around her tiny paws, and we would not want it any other way, lol. I'm sorry that Pumpkin wasn't able to see some of the Opening Ceremony; I'm sure she would have loved it. The airing of the ceremony here in this part of the U.S. was at 8 P.M. so it was perfect timing for Eros to come and enjoy it with me. Maybe you and Pumpkin will be able to cheer on some of your favorite teams and athletes together during the rest of the Olympics. I will be wishing that all the athletes are able to perform score their individual bests and have a marvelous time there.

Aww, Eros, you’re always such a joy to watch and read about. Marti and Lemon totally support you in your desire to get a bite of human food. “How dare they not share the best parts with us!” Marti always says to Lemon, who just tries to hypnotize me with his puppy dog eyes, but I must say, you two could compete on being the most adorable food beggars ever.
It’s so adorable how you two enjoyed the opening ceremony, my two completely slept through it. Does Eros have a particular interest in one of the winter sports?

Thank you, Burakki; if I didn't know better, I would say Eros is blushing right now, lol. Eros says that she would love to be on the food begging team and all the spoils will be split among all the extremely eager and willing participants. Melting, mesmerizing hammy eyes get set, get ready, GO!!!!!

Since I usually try if time permits to watch at least some of the figure skating, alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, ice hockey, snowboarding, and bobsledding, Eros will probably watch a few of these with me, too if she is awake and up to it at the time. So far, she liked what she saw and probably is planning how she and the rest of her hamgang can incorporate a few of the Olympians' stunts and skills into her next adventure with them, lol. I can just see it now - the Hamolympics is the next huge worldwide event on the calendar. All Hamolympians will compete for the ham-medals and make their countries proud!

It's me, Eros! I'm back on Mum's computer keyboard thingy dancing away again. Mum and I watched the Olympic Team Figure Skating Competition the other evenings and so I thought that I would practice what I learned. Sadly, Mum's keyboard buttons aren't as slippery and smooth as the ice rink so I'm still a bit clumsy on my quadruple Axel, Biellmann spin, Ina Bauer, and Twizzles. I suppose even a very talented ham like myself can't expect to be Hamolypics ready overnight when it took the two-leggeds many years to be ready for the spotlight, lol. Therefore, I have been getting up bright and early before Mum wakes up to practice.

After a few yawns and stretches, I think I'm just about ready to leave my cozy nest and get some practicing in. Early hams get the medals, you know? (I'm sorry for getting off subject, but. . . . Eek!!! I just realized in the photos that my fluffy nest entrance looks like there may be some soiled stains on the white portions, but please rest assured that I am COMPLETELY potty trained and wouldn't dare pee where I sleep. I even have a much-used C-A-R-R-O-T potty to prove it, too.)


As mum might have mentioned to you previously, we have been getting ready for Valentine's Day around here. To continue with the lovey dovey holiday, Mum decided to give me a special treat which I found after smelling the rose - sneaky Mum!!!! She and Black Thingy (a.k.a. C-A-M-E-R-A) even captured me again in a photoshoot as Mum likes to call it. Here are some of my favorite pics from this latest adventure.

I sure do love smelling the rose especially when it has one of my most favorite familiar scents - Mum's specially-prepared cheesy toast squares made especially for little, darling ME!!!


Sniff, SNiff, sNIFFFFF! Could you possibly be hiding in here, Cheesy Toastiness? Hmmn? It looks like you may be quite illusive at the moment. I suppose that I'll just have to look around a bit so don't you go hiding from me now. It isn't hide-n-seek time, yet. I'll count to 1 and you had better peek out, O.K.? O-N-E!!!!! Ready or not, here I come for you and your yummy crunchiness!

Here are a few outtakes including me getting a good whiff of the rose, telling Mum I definitely approve of this tummy-inspired outing, and digging my entire head directly into the center of the rose to gather my well-deserved prize for being Mum's special Valentine this year. They don't call me the cupid for nothing, you know? Mum sure knew what she was talking about when she came up with my name Eros.


Nyum, mmmmmmmmmmnnn, yum! These sure are scrumptulicous; I can hardly contain my overwhelming joy. Mum is one skilled two-legged for hiding this sneaky goody in just the perfect spot for me to find. Good job, Mumsy!!!

I know; I know!!!! Now it's one of my happiest times of all - time for me to make a silly clown face as I shove this delicious treat into my more than eager cheek pouches. Don't you just love my expressions? I might not be the professional figure skater at the moment, but I sure am a well-seasoned expert at making comical faces while gobbling things up at lightning speed. I call this stunt my Diagonal Slip-n-slide Crunchy Eating Trick, lol. Don't try this one at home folks unless you are a hammy, too. If you are a two-legged ham-mum or ham-dad, your cheek pouches might just get overly stretched and stay like that forever and ever!!!!

Hee-HEe-HEEE!!! You would never have guessed that I was the silly, crazy ham that you just saw doing all that stuff a second ago, right? My innocent face could fool just about anyone!
