Eros - A 007 Hammy Secret Agent!

Thank you so much, SKB, Cypher, Burakki, Astrid, Coco, Drago, BP, and Thin Lizzy. I am sorry that I haven't responded sooner to your posts. Wow, it has been almost a whole month since I last updated Eros's thread! I have been visiting family for the holidays and didn't have access to internet until the last few days. I hope that all of you and your family (both humans and pets) had a marvelous holiday and are enjoying 2018.

Since I didn't have much opportunity to take photos during the holidays, I thought that I would share a few more outtakes of Eros's HOM: Hamsters Around the World photoshoot.

EROS IN ENGLAND
Here Eros is enjoying the miniature 3-dimensional puzzle of the London Bridge that I constructed for her to play with. She also was very excited that she could actually take a ride on the moving Thomas the Tank Engine and Diesel 10 with its retractable arm and claw. Before I knew it, she had me taking out my entire set of Thomas the Train and Friends engines, box cars, water towers, stations, bridges, tunnels, and cranes for her enjoyment; even Sir Topham Hatt came out to enjoy the fun.

EROS IN CHINA
Here Eros is enjoying her Chinese treat box with Mandarin Chinese writing saying "Love", chopsticks, and of course her very own fortune cookie which read, "We must always have old memories and young hopes.".

To finish off her memorable travels to some wonderful places, I have included the final set of outtake photoshoots of Eros's HOM: Hamsters Around the World.

EROS IN ITALY
Eros loved playing with the Venetian-styled cat mask and especially loved going through its ornately decorated eye holes, lol. She also had fun crawling on top of and under the Italian glass ornament. Although opera music is much more of Snickers's cup of tea, Eros did appreciate listening to two of my beloved Italian opera singers Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli. Sadly, Pavarotti had passed away many years ago, but his stunning, moving voice and all the joy he has brought to this world will never be forgotten by all of his numerous fans - I am definitely one of them.

EROS IN THE U.S. - I know, please don't laugh; I just couldn't help myself.
Sheriff Eros has come into town and now keeps a watchful eye over the Dakota territory. She was thrilled to see that she had her own special sheriff badge to go along with the job title. She sure is an extra cute sheriff, too; however, I think she often thinks being the naughty outlaw is a much more exciting and fun job. She loved snuggling up with Andy's famous sheriff Woody and even managed to steal a delicious cracker and munch on it like corn on the cob, too, lol.







Well, Eros and I hope that you enjoyed going along for the ride as she visited a few countries. We had the greatest time creating special memories together and sharing our joy with all of you. Thanks again to Ladyntramp and her marvelous Kilian for coming up with such a marvelous and creative HOM theme; we had countless moments of laughter and fun with it.

Thanks, Cypher; I'm glad that you Eros's trip to England made you smile. We definitely had a marvelous time with that particular photoshoot. In fact, I truly don't know who enjoyed it more because we both didn't want it to ever end, lol. Eros is truly a silly character, and she absolutely thrives on more entertainment the better. She totally LOVED all the trains!

Beautiful pictures of Eros from her travels. Love all of these photoshoots - especially the photo of woody with his arm rested on Eros. I’m sure Eros would make an excellent sheriff no crime would invade her 007 training! And also the photo of Eros enjoying her fortune cookie as well as the first photo of her England photoshoot I looks like she admiring the landmarks around the tower bridge.
Also I love seeing Eros’s goegous face on the front page - I love that photo!

Aww, thank you so much for your kind words, SKB! My favorite photo of Eros in the U.S. is the exact same favorite as yours. It captures her extra cuddly personality so well and touches my heart. Lol, I'm sure the crime rate will definitely diminish drastically with Sheriff Eros on the job. I also have been enjoying seeing my sweet fur baby's face on the front page, too. I was so surprised that she actually won last month's HOM competition as there were three other amazing photos to choose from including Pumpkin's trip to the Netherlands which I totally love.

I write this as never-ending tears pour down my cheeks. I am totally devastated, utterly heartbroken, and feel an empty numbness inside. My heart can hardly grasp what my mind knows to be true. Although I knew that this day would come, it still came as a sudden shock to me. On Friday morning, the 26th of January, the dreaded day arrived that my sweet, darling Princess Snickers drew her last breath and passed to the Rainbow Bridge. I believe that she had a stroke which left her paralyzed from the waist down during her final moments. She passed away cuddled in my arms surrounded by many members of our loving family who came to be with her at the end. Her favorite song "Time to Say Goodbye" by Sarah Brightman played in the distance to give her comfort. When I reassured her that it would be alright and she would never be alone and would be forever loved and cherished, she closed her dark, chocolate eyes and went to her forever sleep. Her final resting place is under our family's most gorgeous pink magnolia tree where she joined the other beloved family pets who have passed on before her. Rest in peace, my beloved Snickers; you melted my heart at first sight and I was instantly in love. You gave me 5 years and 3 months worth of precious memories, and I will forever treasure all the amazing moments created with you. You will forever remain in my heart and I will love you always. XXXX....

dreamtree I am so very sorry to read this, Princess Snickers was such a lovely girl & a very special friend to you, I know how heartbroken you must be & how she will be missed *hugs* I'm glad she was able to have a peaceful end to her wonderful life surrounded by love.
