Eros - A 007 Hammy Secret Agent!

Thank you for your sweet posts, Ruth, Burakki, Thin Lizzy, BP, and Coco. We all had such a wonderful holiday with family and friends. Sorry I haven't posted much lately. I have been quite busy with all the holiday festivities, lol.

Lately, Eros has acquired the taste for crazy, acrobatic, monkey barring upside down and swinging from her barred cage lid. I think she believes that she is a stunt monkey performing her greatest feats for her fans, but she has driven me bananas in the process with all her silliness. I keep on telling her, "Don't you know that the elves on the shelves are reporting all your mischief to Santa Paws, Eros?" She then turns to me with an innocent (as far as Eros can achieve) expression on her face and goes right back to her mission of mischief as if she is completely clueless about what was said. She also has been climbing on the outside of her wheel, running on the outer side of it, and periodically going on hindlegs to give the cage roof a good chewing. I think all the festivity fun made her go a bit bonkers and extra hyper. I'm getting a bit tuckered out just watching her, lol. I will be sure to post pics whenever she gives me the chance (which might not be for a bit since she is ultra high energy right now which is saying a bunch since Eros tends to be quite the Energizer bunny on the normal basis, lol).

I am including a few of my favorite outtakes of the December 2017 HOM photo shoot because I thought they were just too cute not to share. I hope you all enjoy them. The first two are of Eros pleading to have me read The Night Before Christmas yet again for the umteenth time, lol. I was more than happy to oblige as you probably could have guessed. The third is of Eros being extra cuddly with Mouse Elf. Don't worry, Eros; I'm sure he will have a great report to give Santa Paws this year because you are just so loving, cute, and nice (with a naughty, oh so crazy twist, of course - but that most definitely adds to your one-of-a-kind charm). The fourth is of Eros impersonating the sneaky, slithery Grinch - a Dr. Seuss character that she found quite entertaining and full of charisma after we watched my annual, traditional Christmas show How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Finally, the fifth is of Eros looking lovely and innocent as she keeps watch over her buddy as he is nestled all snug in his bed, while visions of sugar-plums danced in his head.






I again would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all of the winners that have created such lovely HOM photo shoot themes for all of us and our hammies to enjoy. Your imaginative and fun themes have inspired so many great photos to be taken by the member of HC and their treasured, furry hamily. I can't wait to discover what the new set of winners will have in store for all of us next. I'm certain their choices will prove to be quite entertaining yet again.

Cypher, Eros most certainly is the adventurous daredevil. She constantly keeps me on my toes and makes things quite exciting around here to put it mildly, lol. She is one entertaining ham, always full of spunk and creativity. She keeps me giggling and oohing and awing. She even manages to scare me to death with her bravery at times, too. Never a dull moment with her in my life, and I wouldn't want it any other way. I have placed lots and lots of extra substrate around in her cage which she absolutely loves and keeps her safe from any potential falls. I have also placed a layers of cardboard on the top and underside of her lid at the various place where she has been chewing to try to deter (or at least distract) her from chewing sessions during the wee hours of the night/morning.

Eros decided to treat herself to some yummy treats in her holiday tin so I managed to capture a pic of her peeking out of it just in the nick of time, lol. I always enjoy seeing hams in their tins so I got one for Eros to bring a bit of extra holiday cheer. I thought it was cute that this one has three of my beloved childhood favorites on it: Santa, Frosty, and Rudolph. Eros enjoyed the sunflower seeds and mealworms inside, lol. She then gave me a lot of whisker kisses and scurried up my shirt and onto my shoulder for an extra ticklish whisker kiss right on my cheek. I'm still beaming and giggling from that one, lol.

I really like the first of the Night Before Christmas pics, it looks like she is contemplating if the red and green stripey thing is for eating. They're all lovely though, it's impossible not to have a good picture of Eros as she is so photogenic

BP, I'm exhausted since I have had a few sleepless nights worry about her getting into too much mischief, tbh. I took a tiny nap a little while ago just to catch up on my much needed beauty sleep while she slumbered during the daytime. She is like a baby who I rearrange my sleep schedule around, lol. I'm glad that you enjoyed the pics. I'm not sure what you are referring to with the 'red and green stripey thing'. Are you talking about the Mouse Elf's nightgown sleeve? Luckily, Eros hasn't eaten it off of the mouse but she did give it a nice sniff, lol. She also enjoyed removing the miniature The Night Before Christmas book and turning the cover so I can read it to her. She is quite the character and seems to always enjoy all the tiny details in the photo shoot props.

Yes! It's the sleeve, I can see now that's what it is Well I'm glad she didn't eat it or the poor mouse would be getting cold! They are very mischievous these hammies, I caught Sparky on the bars of his roof (on the inside of his cage) on all fours yesterday! I was horrified, he's a very good jumper so I'm assuming he jumped on to them. I went and ordered him a cage without bars
