Thank you for your kind words, Razor and Cypher!!! You both are really too sweet. Eros just ate a bit of my cheesy scrambled eggs and went to sleep in her nest so I will share your lovely messages with her when she wakes up from her beauty sleep. It might be a while yet since she had a VERY busy night and her tummy is content with part of my breakfast, lol.

I love pizza too but I must say Eros's homemade pizza looks delicious, how very talented you are dreamtree Eros certainly looks like she was enjoying it and it was nice you could share your pizza but an Eros friendly version with her

Thank you, BP. Yes, Eros was very pleased with her personalized pizza, lol. I would do anything for my little darling, even creating a hamster-friendly version of it just so she will not feel left out at a pizza party. She deserves all the spoiling she can get. The close up picture was a lucky shot, lol.

As promised, I am now introducing you all to the quadruplet house finch chicks that hatched right outside of my door a day or so ago. They are just SO adorable, bopping their heads up and down and chirping so sweetly for their mum and dad to feed them their yummies. I am so overjoyed with happiness that they are all thriving and both parents are very attentive and nurturing ones. The parents keep taking turns feeding their little ones, and the mum sleeps with her darlings to keep them nice and cozy and safe. I couldn't be any more pleased for the lovable house finch family. I haven't been able to capture any more pics of the dad because he is always so quick with his movements.

Here are the four darling chicks this morning after mum and dad fed them. Sorry that these pics are very blurry; they were moving so quickly that it was almost impossible to even catch a few photos where you could tell that they were baby birds in the nest, lol. I decided to post them regardless because I just wanted to spread the happiness around to everyone.






Now, they are all nestled together for their early morning nap.


This is mum taking a little snooze with her babies; I just love how she drapes her protective wing over her little treasures while they dream sweet dreams. Bless her and her precious family; they all must be totally exhausted from all of this excitement and hard work.

Thank you, Coco!!! I am totally thrilled!!! I can't stop smiling from ear to ear; I must look awfully silly right now, lol. Eek, I need to control some of this giddiness; just kidding, I will continue to be as excited as can be because this is just too awesome!!!

And those new born birdies are so adorable and I can nearly imagine how they chirp while asking for food I assume Eros is gentlelady enough to spare some of her mealworms to those babies? LOL

Sally75, thanks for your congratulatory message; you are so sweet. I think I'm still in shock that we won, tbh; I just love everyone's photos. When I brought Eros to see her picture on the front page of HC today, she made a shocked "Oh my" expression, placed her two front paws on her face, and went to the screen to give it a good sniffing (or possibly to give her own image a few whisker kisses, lol). She will receive a few extra treats today to celebrate. I think you definitely should enter as many HOM photo competitions as possible. They really are a lot of fun for you and your ham, and they give you an opportunity to take many wonderful pictures to remember her by as well. I hope that you enjoy next month's theme that Eros and I are choosing. I think it will give everyone a chance to be creative and have lots of fun, too. I am glad that you are enjoying Eros's thread. I hope that you have an excellent experience on HC; this forum is really a wonderful place to gain and share knowledge with people who truly love animals. I am glad to hear that I had a part in making your welcome pleasant; that really makes me happy.

SunnyOy, the sounds of all of those precious baby birds chirping along with their attentive parents is music to my ears. It lets me know that all if well with them even if I'm not checking on them at the moment. It truly is an amazing experience to watch part of the lives of these wonderful birds. Eros is a sweetheart and has been sharing a few of her delicious mealworms and millet sprays with her house finch pals just outside of our door. I think that they all greatly appreciated it since those items are no longer there when I checked this morning, lol. We always want to make life easier for all of our outdoor friends.
