Re: Introducing Eros
That pic of Eros yawning is so adorable! I did giggle at him returning his treats to his food bowl. And the alligator being tossed in the air lol!
So love catching up with Eros's antics.

Re: Introducing Eros
Thanks, Rads and Thin Lizzy. Eros certainly never fails to surprise me with all the silliness. It is like he is constantly trying to outdo himself each and every day.

Re: Introducing Eros
Hey, is the coast clear? Wonderful, I sure am in the mood to do some quickstep on Mum's computer again. It's me, Eros! I have some news to report. Mum gave a new secret hideout until my new one from Twilight Chinchillas arrives later. I think she is planning on having it customized especially for me. She loves to do things like that, you know. Well, I now have a Philadelphia Cream Cheese box that is the perfect size for my secret agent peek-a-boo training. I love to sneakily poke my head out, carefully look both ways to make sure I'm not spotted (having to take a moment to chew for a bit, of course), and then daringly dart in and out of my box. Bond, James Bond, doesn't have anything on me. I should be referred to as Eros007. I am in training to go on a secret mission to discover the true fascination Mum has with her black thingy (she calls C-A-M-E-R-A). Why does she love it so? Doesn't she know it can't make silly faces like adorable me? Oh well, I will let you know what I discover.

Re: Introducing Eros
Rads, I can just imagine Pip running in the wheel with a huge cucumber in her mouth. That has got to be a totally hilarious sight. It just makes me laugh thinking about it. These hamsters sure know how to make us laugh.
Thanks, Cotton! I almost did a double take when he first did it. I couldn't believe my eyes that Eros was returning his food for later consumption. Once you think you have figured him out, he turns right around and switches everything around. Silly, silly, SILLY!
Cinnamon Bear, thanks for the lovely, sweet words. I definitely couldn't be any more in love with my two amazing fluff balls. Love is always in the air since they both came into my life and brought rainbows and sunshine into each and every day. I love them so.

Re: Introducing Eros
Wait a minute. . . just one more moment please, I think I've got it. I actually solved the mystery behind the black thingy. By the way, this is Eros007! After much tweaking and a few buttons pushed, I finally realized why Mum loves C-A-M-E-R-A so much. It is like a county fair's House of Mirrors in here! All I can see is images of me, Snickers, and a whole lot of two-leggeds that she loves so much. Me, me, ME, . . . know wonder she is so fascinated with her black thingy. I guess it will be my friend to; I promise not to give Mum trouble next time she takes it out or will I.
Did I mention that Mum even played some peek-a-boo with me, too? She sure gets me, and I don't even think she realizes that this is serious business. She just giggles at me when I do it. She doesn't realize that the point is NOT to be spotted. Oh well, maybe she needs to go into boot camp training, too.
This is me in my Olympics gymnastics balancing beam competition. I love to creep and/or run along the very edge of an open box while the side is swaying back and forth. Don't I look like a circus high tightrope acrobat? Spiderman, you just might have your very own side kick after all. With you and your web throwing and me with my acrobatic prowess, who knows what mischief we can accomplish together. Bad guys, watch out we are on a mission to make the world love creepy crawlies and furry cuddlies.
This is me in the process of returning my most treasured stash. Sorry for the lack of table manners. I suppose two-legged dining etiquette is not one of my strong points. Apparently, two-leggeds don't remove the food from their cheek pouches in order to save it for another day. I was trying to get Mum to try and do this, but there was no luck. She doesn't even double dip!
Aren't you amazed at my Olympic swimming high dive routine? Watch out Alli, I'm coming right for you!
This is me during one of my many Alli frisbee throwing and catching moments. Sorry, Mum, in-flight pics are a foul due to distractions on the field. Better luck next time!
Well, I do have to skedaddle; I think I hear something in the background. Oh, Snickers, don't trick me that way! I thought it was Mum! Well, I have to run anyway because I surely don't want to be caught in the act. Please don't tell Mum that I have up to any shenanigans, O.K.? If you do, I will just say "I'm innocent, and I'm sticking to it!". Who wouldn't believe this face? Please give all my furry friends a huge kissy and give them a treat for me, O.K.? Tata for now!!! Love, Eros

Re: Introducing Eros
Hi, everyone! Just wanted to let you all know that I had an April Fool's Day joke played on me. Needless to say, silly me fell for it, too!
I was told when I bought my approximately 3-4 weeks old Syrian hamster Eros from a pet store on February 9, 2017 that he was definitely a male. In addition, the store claims to also be an all male branch of this pet store chain.
Recently though, I have begun to question whether or not Eros truly is a male Syrian. He has recently allowed me to begin holding him in different positions, and I began believing that there are no visible signs of him being a male (but I wasn't absolutely sure).
The other puzzling thing about this is that Eros was definitely in a tiny secluded room housing other Syrian hamsters that are MOST DEFINITELY males (it was so extremely obvious). I am surprised that Eros would not be pregnant if he was truly a she.
Thanks to everyone who helped me to confirm my suspicions since I am new to this and I was told by the store owners that her gender was most definitely a male.
Eros certainly is a female; and therefore, I will be referring to her as a "she" instead of a "he" from now on. Also for those who have asked, I have decided to not change her name because I still believe it to be extremely fitting for her due to her markings, her personality, and the time when she came into my life (although the gender is not right). It was given to her out of love, and she loves and responds to it, too.
I hope that all of you had an amazing April 1st and that you didn't have too many April Fool's Day jokes played on you! Hee-HEE - Who am I kidding, it is always fun to have a few harmless pranks every once in a while to keep us all on our toes!
All kidding aside though, Eros truly is a female, and that's no joke!
Have a wonderful, fun-filled day. Give your furry bundles of joy a huge cuddling from me and Eros (and Snickers, too!)

Re: Introducing Eros
I love AAAAALLLL the photos that you posted of Eros and reading about her antics. That last photo of his bum is pretty funny.
She definitely looks like a she. I'm glad she wasn't pregnant.
Fun fact, here in Spain we don't celebrate April's fools, on 28 th December we celebrate "los santos inocentes" (the naive saints), and we do the same, jokes or pranks to other people, so your April's 1 is our December's 28.
