Holly the Holiday Hammy:)
First I want to wish everyone on HC Happy Holidays! Last Friday I went to a local pet store to find presents for my family's critters when I spotted an aquarium with one very pretty red eyed cream banded girl available for adoption. I was concerned about her size and age (she is about the size of my large, pudgy, elderly dwarf hamster). The pet store said she was 6 weeks old, but she seems rather small if that is indeed true. She was incredibly friendly and when she looked at me I decided that she had to come home with me  I couldn't stand the thought of leaving her. I decided to name her Holly since she was adopted before Christmas. She is settling nicely into her new home and loves her toys (especially the card board wave jungle gym). Holly is one rotten hammy!

Congrats on Holly! She is so pretty! I like the light fur pattern she has Glad you found each other & she now is lucky to have a new forever home with you

Thank you all for your sweet comments about Holly She made me a nervous wreck this afternoon when I went to swap her wheel out. I couldn't find her in her cage and started to take houses out to check them when I didn't hear any rustling. I still didn't hear anything, there was no movement in the houses and then I commenced a critical freak out. I decided to double check the houses again.Turns out Holly was sound asleep in the bath house hidden in bedding and was still asleep when I removed some bedding. Phew,lol! She is hilarious like my other Syrian girl named Buttons, but gets into even more trouble. Holly's new nick name for today is Buttons 2.0

Harvey has done that a few times to me and panic sets in only for him to be hiding in plain sight.
