Re: Meet Heaven, my new Syrian
She is just the personality of a Syrian that I wanted. I can't believe she's like this even though she wasn't handled before. Makes me think that somebody handled her in the past even though her past owner of 5 mo didn't. I don't know her age I wish I did.
I looked at other Syrians in pets store lately to see if they are all cuddly but I didn't find one that is cuddly at all. They were all nervous and bitey. I wasn't planning on getting another hamster, just seeing what they are like in the pet stores. I'm sure there has to be other cuddly hamsters somewhere?
Velma, yes she loved her monkey nut, the others did too. It was so cute that Izzy had laid her food in perfect order with the monkey nut under one of her logs. I had to find this out when transferring her to her new cage.

Re: Meet Heaven, my new Syrian
I think that Heaven is dying? She is lying out in the open. She has two nests and she's not in either one. She make a loud sqwaking noise then laid there like she was dead. She's acting very strange today. This is not good if she is dying

If she's sick, CB, call the vet.

Re: Meet Heaven, my new Syrian
I spent time with her last night as usual, nothing different than every other night. I've been watching her and she's sleeping on & off.
This morning she was acting strange trying to get behind the wheel opposite side from her nest. I pulled the wheel away and distracted her. She stopped that behavior. She doesn't appear sick in any way. I think that she is older than I thought and it may be her time to go.
Do you think I should take her in anyways?

Re: Meet Heaven, my new Syrian
It sounds as though something's wrong CB, no good guessing so taking her to the vet would be best.
