Re: Meet Heaven, my new Syrian
Heaven is gorgeous as always. I love her stuffed cheek pouches, too! She is such a cutie trying to stuff the green been in her already overstuffed pouches. That is determination for you, LOL!

Re: Meet Heaven, my new Syrian
That's a Greenie toothbrush, I thought I got the smallest size but apparently not, she's not complaining
I put her in a playpen that arrived today. The colorful bars reminded her of a bad memory of being caged in a really small barred cage for most of her life. So she started chewing on the bars in an upset manner, so I took her out. I knew she was neglected & for at least 5 mo the previous owners had her in a really tiny cage with bars that were real high. So Heaven climbed & bit the bars constantly. She also had moths in her cage when I got her from the SPCA

Re: Meet Heaven, my new Syrian
Hee-HEE!!! I feel like such a silly goose thinking that Heaven was stuffing her cheeks with two green beans. I suppose that I should have known that she was being the beauty that she is and thinking of her thorough dental hygiene regiment. I love that it is a toothbrush; it makes the picture all the cuter. I agree that the size doesn't seem to bother her one bit. In fact, she looks utterly content and pleased with herself and her handy toothbrush.
I'm sorry that she had an unpleasant experience with her new playpen. It is such a tragedy that she was reminded of such terrible memories from her past prior to you adopting her. What a blessing that she now has you to help her recover from all that she went through; your love and care are the best thing that ever happened to her, Cinnamon Bear. I hope that she will one day be able to enjoy the playpen that you bought for her. Please give sweet Heaven an extra cuddle for me.

Re: Meet Heaven, my new Syrian
I think it's kind of funny that people who don't have time for hamsters seem to pay good money for their cages food and furniture and for the animals too, whereas people who really love them and enjoy them pick them up for free later. Mind you there's vet bills I guess.

Re: Meet Heaven, my new Syrian
I really must read these threads from the beginning before posting, as I can see you had to kit out little Heaven as new. She must have been thrilled.
I think "auburn" describes her fairly well.

Re: Meet Heaven, my new Syrian
Dreamtree, she won't need the dentist with her tooth brush now. Don't think she'd appreciate it if I put toothpaste on it tho lol
Ruth, alot of times people surrender animals cause they don't care about them & buy cheap cages. I paid $20 donation fee for Heaven which goes straight to the SPCA. I also adopted a Chinese & I don't remember how much I spent. Then I rescued Dakota as a baby from an unwanted litter & she was free.
Don't jinx me with vet bill. Lol
