Your hamster should be able to run with a straight, not arched, back. There isn't a set size, it really depends on your particular hamster. For example. I currently have an 8" wheel and an 11" wheel for my Syrians but as neither are huge they would probably both fit the 8". The quietest of those two is my Wodent wheel. The other is a noisy comfort wheel but I don't sleep in that room so it's not a problem. I've had smaller silent spinners for my dwarf hams that are quiet but they jump from 6.5 inch to 12" wheels and there is no in between size. The 12" wheel takes up a lot of height when you measure the stand etc and some people have reported a problem with the newer models being too stiff. There are plenty of brands out there that I'm sure you'll get recommendations for, for wheels that people have tried. You know your hamster so you can whittle it down to what sounds most suitable for your ham and the cage that you have.

How big is your hamster exactly? That will influence what wheel is best, not necessarily a stereotypical size for "large Syrians" which may not be appropriate for your hamster A good example of this would be something like the Carolina Storm Express which are 10 inch wheels which suit Syrians from 4-5 inches in length, while a 12 inch wheel for example a Silent Runner would suit Syrians 4-6 inches in length instead.

Silent Runners are supposed to be very good. A lot of people on this forum have them. I think they are pricey, but come in good sizes for Syrians.

11 inch is the normal size wheel for a Syrian but you could get a 12 inch one to be safe.

Syrian size flying saucers take up a lot of room in the cage, they are quite huge really! Also they're not really ideal, better as a second wheel in a play area rather than the main wheel.
The silent runners are very good wheels if you don't mind paying a fair bit.

How big is your current wheel?
Many syrians are fine in 8"/20cm wheels, not all need 10-12" wheels.

That is a bit small, you probably will have trouble finding larger wheels in pet shops, they're probably easier to find online.
The karlie wonderland wheel is a good silent wheel that comes in a larger size & isn't too expensive.
trixie wheel also comes in a larger size but the two I had were anything but silent!
I think both are also available from Amazon as well as Zooplus & maybe other online shops.
The silent runner is by far my favourite wheel, I have the 9" for my dwarf hams that could be a good size for a smaller syrian but there is a larger one too, expensive though.

Pip has a 11" Trixie wheel and is only really noisy when she is trying to chew it....!
