That sound strange to be allergic to hamsters? Maybe it was the ammonia that he/she was allergic too? I'm allergic to every animal on earth, except hamsters. Dwarf hamsters mostly , Syrians are risky because of the ammonia. I'm glad that she has a great home in your family. She is such a cute hamster

Henry is starting to settle in with my sister but he's being kept at the opposite side of the room to Sooty as they don't want to stress Sooty out too much at her age. They'll be able to watch him from their sofa which will be nice and they're going to sort out a playpen for him too.

I don't know a great deal about animal allergies but I wonder if it had something to do with the fact he was a long haired Syrian? He was on Fitch when he left me so that's one of the least likely substrates to cause a problem. I felt sorry for the people that were taking him on though as they said he was such a lovely hamster.

Henry managed to escape from his ball the other day but was quickly returned to his cage safe and sound after my sister managed to catch him in the corner of the room. I think they've learnt that they'll need to tape his ball shut.

My sister and her boyfriend have recently moved house and on Monday we were invited over to see them in their new home - of course that meant cuddles with Henry, whose cage fits perfectly in one of the corners of the living room.

I'd forgotten just how much I missed the fluffy little guy but he's being well and truly spoilt by both my sister and her boyfriend. They've bought him new toys and everything. Here he is with one of his playtime toys...

I've actually had that photo printed out for them and have put it in one of those magnetic photo frames so they've got a photo of Sooty and Henry on their fridge.

I visited my sister the other day so of course that mean cuddles with Henry. I'd forgotten how different handling him is to handling Chinese.

He likes to sit on the sofa rather than on someone's lap...
