Just revisiting Pumpkin's wonderful thread and seeing all of her cuteness again, lol. She is so lovely.

Thank You Razor, dreamtree1234, cypher, BorisPasha, Thin Lizzy and Coco61. Pumpkin has been having a lot of fun in her cage - albeit that has made he cage a right mess but as long as she happy that all that matters. She also appreciates all the wonderful sweet compliments she received! It was lovely to get some beautiful weather this week to perfectly match Pumpkin bright colourful layout - this is what I had hoped for. BorisPasha, they do know how to prove us wrong - they must be able to hear our thoughts with their amazing hearing! Thin Lizzy, I too wish their was a human version of her cage - I can just imagine how fun it would be exploring.

Willow Stick Destruction Mission

Pumpkin had a very busy night on Monday, she was on a mission to chew up bunch of willow sticks in one night. A couple of times she woke me up to the sound of the sticks banging against the edge of the cage and when she realised I was awake she stop to make sure she wasn't caught in the act - before quickly sneaking back when the coast was clear. I can say her mission was a success as the in the morning the bunch of willow sticks had been completely chewed in half which left a right mess in her cage! That evening when she woke up for her cuddle time she looked quite guilty for some reason - I wonder why

The following evening after looking really guilty for chewing her willow sticks up she also was being really cheeky - probably as she realised by her chewing up her willow sticks I made a special trip to p@h to get another bunch of willow stick and whilst I was there also treated her to a stuffed carrot woodroll - so her mission was a complete and utter success!!! Luckily I managed to capture my cheeky monkey doing what she does best ...

(Just a quick note the purplish mark on her tummy is her hematoma, it had reduced in size recently however it still quite visible when she stands up stretched like this)

I also though I would share a few outtakes from Pumpkin HOM photoshoot attempts - let say this didn't go as well as I had hoped for even with a whole plate of a wide selection nuts for her to indulge upon but she had no interest at all - this shows how un-food motivated she is unless mealworms are involved! Another attempt out of her playpen she decided the avoid the nuts again instead came running over to me for cuddles. But eventually she couldn't resist the temptation of a lone walnut and after I managed to get a good photo she paraded around her cage with it before taking it to her hoard. I didn't expect it would be so difficult to photograph Pumpkin eating a nut - especially after last year managing to get a photo of her sweeping - I even looked through alt the thousands of photos of Pumpkin and not one of the photo is of her eating a nut is not blurred or of her running away with it. So without further a do here are our outtakes ...

I was going to enter the last photo from Pumpkin's Outtake but it was far to blurry for my liking but I happy I managed to at least get one good photo which I could enter!


I have also been very fortunate this week as during 3 of Pumpkin evening cuddle time she decided to relax and lay down on me whilst I stroked her fur. It almost looked as if she was going to drift to sleep but instead she gets up and starts to be her hyper self again. These moments were so precious and so lovely knowing how comfortable she is around me to relax like this as I do miss a snuggly hammy in the evening as unlike with Sherbet, Pumpkin has far to much energy for an evening snuggle with her cuddles.

Lol, I always enjoy all of Pumpkins entertaining updates! Wow, she sure was a VERY busy girl chewing the entire pile of willow sticks; she's one determined ham! She really does have a guilty face in those great pics, and it makes me giggle. She has you totally wrapped around her precious paws since she received a new gift as well as replacement willow sticks, too. Haha, I definitely understand; I would do the exact same thing in your shoes. The cuddle me pose is so sweet and lovable; it touches my heart. I just love her. I hope that her hematoma heals soon; bless her. Pumpkin being scarily cute just made me crack up laughing, lol. I just totally love her expressions; they are so priceless. Just as I had expected, her HOM outtakes were so funny and entertaining. If you weren't trying to take those pics, she would be more than willing to sit there munching away on those assorted nuts. I had to place a few mealworms in discreet places to get Eros excited about her HOM photoshoot, lol. She loves nuts, but she will do absolutely anything for her mealworms, too. Pumpkin's HOM entry is very cute and lovely. My favorite of the outtake photos is most definitely the last one - I just love it when hammies carry their treasured treats like mini-dogs, lol. Aww, that is so sweet that Pumpkin almost fell asleep on you; I definitely know how precious and heartwarming that is. She is such a sweetheart.

Aw Pumpkin! Such adorable pictures! The picture of her asking for cuddles cracked me up! I can see she's really big cuddle monster! And her expressions, love them. <3 She looks so adorable running back with her walnut and giving it her a tour of her palace.

Pumpkin asking for a cuddle is so cute. Glad she is healing. But I just love her getting a good grip on that huge walnut and carrying off her prize!

I decided not to do a photo shoot for the nut eating competition just used one of Sparky that I had from the valentines photo shoot I had. I knew that if I tried to do one it would have been much the same as what happened with yours. Though I have to say she does look very funny ignoring the nuts and the outtakes are always fun to look at I really like the one of her carrying the walnut away, I like when they have their heads lifted high as if to say, look at me, I'm so regal

It has been a little while since I have posted on HC and on Pumpkin's thread as I have been quite busy and also been enjoying the lovely weather too (although its been wet since yesterday). So I'm still catching up replying to threads although I have read them all.

Re-Decorating and a Hamtrum

Pumpkin is still being her usual cheeky self and has been busy at night re-decorating her cage - the other morning I awoke to a huge hole which had been dug in the fitch which had all be kicked into her sand bath, the formation of a fitch mountain and the remains of some chews scattered around her cage. However messy cage = a very happy hamster and a busy night!

Pumpkin had a hamtrum last night as I had to clean her house out as she has decided to pee in her house again but not just that but to lie directly above where she was peeing. So yesterday I was greeted by a very fragrant Pumpkin for her evening cuddles - despite her fur smelling of pee she still expected plenty of cuddles and at least she did clean and freshen herself off whilst in her playbin. Pumpkin has been so good recently with peeing in her sand bath - but she didn't appreciate the nice clean house and let me know it - by throwing a big hamtrum!!! I hate messing with her house but it was necessary but some tasty mealworms are a great cure to a hamtrum and I was forgiven!

She has recently started to go to bed a little earlier than she would usually but still insists on a cuddle and kiss before she disappears back to bed! Some evening when I have stayed up late she comes out just as I am about to go to bed for her evening full of mischief! But she still her usual sweet cuddly troublemaker self.

I haven't taken many photo of Pumpkin recently due to her going to bed earlier and enjoying giving me cuddly girl lots of cuddles. However I did take 2 photo of Pumpkin emerging from an underground tunnel (they are not the best photo as my camera was on the wrong setting) ...

Aww, Pumpkin sure was busy doing a full night worth of interior designing, lol! She and Eros are quite kindred spirits as Eros busied herself with lots of rearranging as well the other night, lol. I absolutely enjoy hearing about all of Pumpkin's latest adventures; she is always full of so much mischief and charm, and I totally adore her. Oh no, Pumpkin smelling like fragrant pee; I'm sure she was as gorgeous as ever although I do hope she chooses a different perfume for her next cuddling session with you, lol. Pumpkin is just so funny, and I couldn't help but laugh - sorry Pumpkin. I love the cute pics of her emerging from her impressive tunnel. She looks a bit naughty as she is peering from under her cork log; I really wonder what she did after that pic was taken, lol.
