Hamsterita I to also thought she had put on more weight especially looking back at a few recent photos - but looking back at the post last time I weighed Pumpkin, I realised that she roughly was the same weight. Which is a little surprising. Although this time her weight is more accurate as she sat still for a little while to get a precise weight. Thin Lizzy, I'm also thinking she may reach 200g - as she looks long and slender like Cookie did and she weighed around 200g to 210g.

I also missed a few other good photo opportunities recently - so I think you are right cypher that "How to stop your human taking photos"! - is going around the hamnet!. Tonight, I was sitting next to her cage, Pumpkin was sitting on her house roof looking at me being very still as I reached for my camera and tried to get a photo she decided that she didn't want to sit still any longer. BorisPasha, I can imagine how sweet that photo of Jaska would have looked eating his bit of carrot spaghetti. Hopefully, "How to let your Human get good photos!" will soon start going around the hamnet instead!


Chew, Pouch, Hoard, ...

Monday night, Pumpkin started to excessively chew her dandelion and vitakraft treat sticks - This is very unlike Pumpkin as she been eating the sticks in moderation and had only chewed off a small portion of both sticks in 2 week. She kept filling her pouches and taking it to her hoard. I removed the treat sticks. Although I did return them to her cage once she had went to bed. She also started to relocated some of her food from her food bowl to one of her three hoards. That was when I realised that earlier in the evening I had done a little re-arranging in her play bin whilst she was in there - I swapped a plastic igloo for a new grass nest - similar to the one she enjoys sitting and napping in at night in her cage - as she rarely went inside the plastic igloo. But I forgot that Pumpkin doesn't like me messing with her cage or play bin especially when she is in there - I think this might have caused her behaviour that evening.

As I haven't got any good photo recently, I remembered when watching Pumpkin excessively chewing on her treats sticks on Monday, that I took some photos of Pumpkin the morning of her cage clean (7th Feb) chewing on her Rosewood Christmas Fruit Tree, that I hadn't got around to sharing yet. Here is Pumpkin enjoying her Christmas fruit tree plus a sweet photo of Pumpkin after she had finished ....

She's so getting stuck into that treat bar, Harvey's been like that too. He like Pumpkin would normally nibble it but the last couple of weeks I've noticed him eat more than normal.

Looks like Pumpkin is enjoying her treat stick Must be something in the air after watching Artie going mad at his yesterday and this morning found Pasha doing the same (without the hamnastics though). Perhaps they are sensing the storm and thinking they should get stocked up! She looks like she is ready for a nap in the last photo, so cute

It looks like treat sticks are a favourite around here. I have to get some!

Lovely photos. I think that the one at the top on the right is very funny, she looks angry with the stick, and then the one at the bottom on the right is beautiful, she looks curious and confident

Thank You Thin Lizzy, cypher, BorisPasha, flowerfairy and Hamsterita. Pumpkin really enjoyed her Rosewood Christmas Tree – she will have this back in her cage when I do her next cage clean. Pumpkin has resumed to eating her Dandelion Treat Stick in moderation and I haven’t seen her excessively chewing on it since. I remembered on Friday Evening, to sow some seeds for Pumpkin so she can enjoy some sprouts - I’m currently waiting to see whether they will germinate or not – I have sown some Sunflower seeds, millet, wheat, dari and linseeds.

I’ve managed to get some photos of Pumpkin recently – she sat still long enough for me to capture a few photos. Last night Pumpkin was being very sweet and kept begging for cuddles – so we had lots of cuddles - How can I say no to that face?! (see bottom right photo).
