Re: All About My Pumpkin
Thank you cypher and Serendipity7000.
I was starting to get extremely concerned with how lazy she had become especially as I had hardly seen much of Pumpkin for 5 days - and spent majority of her time in her house.
I think she might have been getting a little cold, as even though Pumpkin can dig down in her house she decided to sleep at the top with nothing covering her - despite having room to sleep further down. If she was getting cold she might have been using her energy reserves to keep her warm enough which might explain the weight loss - as it had been fairly cold last week so my heating playing around wasn't ideal. Although now that I have turned the heating up and it on more during the day to ensure she isn't getting cold - I hope this continue to help her feel better. I did decided to weigh Pumpkin yesterday as it was a few days since I last weighed just to make sure she wasn't losing any more weight however it looks like she has put some weight back on - now she 181g (normally 188g). I have been giving her a few extra seeds, nuts and porridge oats to help her to. Although I will still be keeping a very close eye and if I notice anything concerning I will take her straight to the vets just be on the safe side.
Serendipity7000, I do really enjoying making things for Pumpkin - It also nice when I have power tools to help though as I managed to make both shelves as well as finishing painting them with in a few hours.

My Hyper Girl is Back!
Its so lovely and relieving that Pumpkin is back to her usual hyper active self. Yesterday she was very energetic and was running around her playbin and kept demanding lots and lots of cuddles during her cuddle time - I had more cuddles with Pumpkin yesterday evening than I had last week! Once it was time to go back in her cage she was extremely energetic impatiently waiting for her evening treats - which involves her standing in her bowl as I'm trying to decided what treat she will be getting. After Pumpkin had eaten her treats she was having fun running in her wheels and exploring her cage as well as listening to my every move so she wouldn't miss an opportunity for a cuddle!
Pumpkin was still awake when I finally decided to go to bed at 00:30am, when I went over to turn my red lights off she turned her charm on and we have loads of cuddles. I ended up having to distract her so I could turn the light off as I couldn't turn down a cuddle.
Then at 1am she awoke me when she wrestling her dinosaur chews - it was banging against both the acrylic and roof of her house making a right racket. A couple more times during the night I could hear Pumpkin out having fun and this morning I woke up to a messy cage which equals one fun night!
Pumpkin was due a cage clean this week however I decided to postpone her cage clean until next week instead especially after Pumpkin not being her usual self last week.
I also manage to get some pictures of Pumpkin last night to whilst she was enjoying the last of the rocket sprouts (I have some coriander sprouts almost ready) ...

Re: All About My Pumpkin
I know Pumpkin's previous behavior change and drop in weight must have given you quite a fright earlier. I am so relieved that your darling is now back to her hyper, cuddly self again and she is gaining some of her weight back, too. She looks so lovely and happy munching on her yummy sprouts - great pics of your little beauty as always!

Pumpkin's Palace Cage Layout - February 2018
Today I cleaned Pumpkin's palace out and have given her a new exciting layout to she has been having lots of fun exploring this evening and is helping to expend some on her endless energy!
I decided upon a natural layout for this month with a slight hint of a valentines theme (such as a few hearts, red and pink chews and a DIY garland). I really enjoyed setting up her cage layout this month and it came together better than I had expected. My idea for this layout came to me yesterday when I had quick look around my local pet shop and the I saw the Rosewood Nature Festival foliage which I thought would be the perfect finishing touch for a natural layout when I set up her cage today. I have been looking for something like this for a while to be natural décor for her cage - as things like millet or wheat spray wouldn't last long with Pumpkin! Although this foliage mix does contain some flax sprays which Pumpkin quickly devoured! I didn't use the whole pack only so have plenty left for upcoming cage layouts. I love how it looks in her cage!
Without realising this cage layout included a feature which her cage layout from last February had - her cork tunnel cave. Last time she didn't use it as much as I had hope although this time she seems to be making more use of it. Pumpkin has been using it as her grooming salon tonight and she also be giving me a cheeky grim when I have been spying on her through the acrylic.
Here is how her cage layout looks like for this month ...
Whilst Pumpkin quickly discovered and devoured the flax sprays I manage to get a few photo of her enjoying herself. This was the first time Pumpkin has actual had flax sprays but it didn't take long for her to discovered the yummies!

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Aww, Pumpkin is just the cutest! I totally love all of her pics especially the ones of her eating the flax sprays and her peeking out from her cave. Lol, it made me smile that she gave you a cheeky grin while you were spying at her grooming in her salon. She sure is such a silly, ham-princess with loads of personality. I'm so glad to see her back to her playful self again. I also love the new cage theme layout. The natural look with splashes of Valentine colors is quite lovely indeed. I totally love your DIY garland especially. Great job with your personalized touches; Pumpkin is surely a very lucky ham!!!
