Thank you BorisPasha, cypher and Turrican - Pumpkin has definitely been having a lot of fun recently - she still been waking me up some night with her mischievous antics but her adorable expressions always make me smile even if I'm still half asleep. Pumpkin hasn't chewed up any more of her candy cane tube - her expression I managed to capture in the photo was priceless though! I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the outtakes from her HOM photoshoot - she had a lot of fun when she was interested by the props before running off. We have recently worked on a few more Christmas photoshoots - I'm so excited to share them during the week leading up to Christmas day!

BorisPasha That's probably why she being more mischievous but I don't think Santa Paws will forget about her - I'm sure she on Santa Paw's good list along with all the hamsters on HC - even after her recent mischievous moments!

Walnut Challenge!

After the last mischievous moment of Pumpkin getting up to all sort of crazy antics during the night I decided to give her a distraction and challenge in the form of whole walnuts on her metal kabob to give her something to chew and work for - I did consider using monkey nut but they wouldn't be much of a challenge for her. It has been a great distraction for her and I often see her chewing on the walnut shell trying to rescue the trapped walnut pieces from within - she has managed to crack the shell open and has rescued quite a lot of the walnut out. Yesterday morning Pumpkin was out chewing on her walnuts when I woke up so I couldn't resist getting some photos of her enjoying the challenge ...

Also as Pumpkin was awake yesterday morning I decided to show Pumpkin the snow outside from the window - she didn't seem very impressed but she was more happy to be enjoying a cuddle.

Good job Pumpkin! That's a very special treat for her & looks like lots of fun getting her walnuts from the shell, she looks totally absorbed in her task there

Hee-HEE!!! Pumpkin sure knows how to get into a lot of fun and mischief. She is such a darling looking all innocent(?, lol) when caught chewing on her candy cane tube. Her expression is totally priceless and made me laugh so hard. It sure looks like she loves her tube to pieces, lol. I also love her photo entry for HOM and all the silly outtakes, too. I love all of the pics, but my absolute favorite one is her in the box. She sure had lots of fun exploring the props and looked as beautiful as ever. Lol, distracting Pumpkin with walnuts sure seems to do the trick. I'm so glad that you were able to capture some great pics of her beating the challenge. She sure is a pro walnut shell cracker; you will never need a nutcracker with her on the job, lol. I'm sure she loves waking you up for extra playtime since she can snooze all day if she so desires; it seems like both of our hamsters are trying to make us nocturnal just like them.

Btw, you don't have to worry about Santa Paws ever forgetting you, Pumpkin; that would never happen because you are one spectacular ham deserving plenty of treats, presents, and love. You are totally unforgettable!

Thank you cypher and dreamtree1234 - Pumpkin has been having a lot of fun in trying to rescue her walnuts - this time I remembered to put them on a metal kabob rather than on string so she couldn't just run of with them like the last time.

The Snowman

Today, I'm going to share another photoshoot from our series of Christmas photos - I have now decided that I will be sharing a photoshoot every other day leading up to Christmas from today!

The snow that we had on Sunday inspired this photoshoot - but instead of making a snowman out of snow I decided instead to make a DIY Pom-Pom snowman instead. I then couldn't resist using it as a prop so here is Pumpkin posing with the snowman along with some cute outtakes too...

Lucky Pumpkin being able to enjoy a snowman in the warm! Great pose in the first photo but I do like the others that have me guessing what caught her attention elsewhere

Thank you BorisPasha, Coco61 and cypher. I don't know what caught Pumpkin attention as where she was looking was towards a pile of cardboard box I use when she has playtime in her playpen but she was also probably wondering what the snowman was looking at.

The Gingerbread House

This photoshoot for today was inspired by Pumpkin entry to last years December HOM - her very first HOM photoshoot. As she was still fairly young her attention used to wander quite quickly so I thought by giving her a monkey nut she would sit still to crack it open - but she had other ideas - here is last years photo ...

Oh yes the gingerbread house, I remember it

Pumpkin is still just as beautiful. Her coat looks a bit deeper in colour now, but perhaps it's just the background from last years picture being white.

I'm glad to see she's got her butt sticking out in one picture
