Re: All About My Pumpkin
Happy Belated birthday Pumpkin!!!
She looked so please with all her presents, but, who wouldn't? they all are amazing, specially the homemade ones, they reflect all the love that you put into caring for her!
The birthday card is brilliants, she's beautiful and in that pic she's posing like a pro.
And what about that cake? It's a delicatessen for hamsters! It looks so fancy and hamlicious. I completely understand why she rush away, just in case anyone would want to steal her precious cake.
I'm glad you both had a great day

Re: All About My Pumpkin
I love the birthday cake! Looks as though Pumpkin did too, which is the important thing. I will need to remember those muffins for Quigley's birthday.

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Pumpkin's birthday cake looked so scrumptious, I nearly ate one of Master Harvey's muffins lol!

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Aww her birthday cake looks so delicious, I might have had to have a taste, minus the mealworm of course lol.
Glad she enjoyed it and sat with it for long enough so we could see the lovely birthday girl with her cake I'll need to try and do something like that for Jaska but I don't think he could eat those muffins, so I'll need to see if I can find an alternative

Not surprised Pumpkin ran off with that delicious cake. Don't want to take any risks!

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Pumpkin would like to thank everyone again for wishing her a happy birthday - Pumpkin has been really enjoying her birthday cake - and I'm so pleased I got those photos of Pumpkin with her cake. I did think about baking a cake using a hamster safe recipe but I'm not good a baking so thought this idea would be a lot easier as all I needed to do was to decorate the cake!
Ruth Edwards, I use a Canon PowerShot SX530 bridge camera. She has all her present in her cage now and has been really enjoying them this evening.
Thin Lizzy - I also can't believe she is already 1! I really hope she enjoyed her special day as she really did deserve it. Lol, at you nearly eating one of Harvey's muffins.
cypher, I also laughed at those photos when I looked through the photos I had taken to see if I got any good/focused photos! So I thought I had to share those photos too alongside the one of her sitting nicely beside it!
Hamsterita - I think she really likes all her presents - it was hard knowing what to get / make for her but I think she approve of everything. Yes, she didn't want to anyone else to steal her cake she initially gave it a good sniff before running off with it! Although as she ran of with it, she dropped it and she looked so confused where the cake was but she was very relieved when she found it safe and sound!
AprilPearl, Pumpkin is loving her cake - she still has some left but I think she wants to savour her cake for as long as possible!
BorisPasha - Pumpkin says the mealworm was the best bit! I was trying to think of something I could use as a candle and thought a mealworm would be perfect!
Coco61, Yes she didn't want to take any risk and she definitely didn't want to share any of her cake with anyone else!

Pumpkin's Palace Cage Layout - August 2017 - Natural Themed
Today, I have part-cleaned Pumpkin's gave and have given her a new layout and have also placed all of her birthday present in this layout for Pumpkin to enjoy, play with and chew! So this month I decided I would do a natural layout using just natural chews and toys - although the only colourful items in her cage are her DIY house, bendy bridge, shelf, water bowl and also her plastic Trixie wheel. I'm really happy with the way the cage layout has turned out and Pumpkin has been enjoying herself this evening.
Here are some photos showing her new layout and also of Pumpkin having a good explore. Try and see if you can spot Pumpkin in the first (top) photo? Pumpkin does camouflage well in this layout!

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Love, Love, Love this months layout, this is superb SKB.
I spotted Pumpkin in the first pic, but won't reveal so others can check it out,
Your little Princess is very good at camouflage lol!
P.S. Pumpkin your requirements of mealworms and a cosy grass nest has been ordered.
Also there's now an extra song to the list 'Ham in the mirror', this make the total 7. Master Harvey says it's a favourite on the hamnet.
Your Lid Banging talent will be added to the notice when I amend it later in the week.

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Love the new natural layout SKB, it looks so good for her, plenty to keep her busy as usual!
Lizzy's right Pumpkin is good at camouflage but I think I see her in that photo.

Re: All About My Pumpkin
It looks wonderful as always SKB I think I can see her in the first pic but I'm not sure, she is doing a marvellous job with the camouflage
My fav pic is the bottom left one, with her peeking out the little house, so cute

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Loving the new cage layout! Pumpkin's birthday DIY bridge and house go very well in the corner. I don't think I'll ever get tired of how pretty those pastel colours are!
The photo of Pumpkin with her paw pressed up to the glass is adorable.
