Pumpkin really enjoyed running in her new wheel today during her taming session which is so nice to see. She gaining more confidence being handled as I couldn't feel her shaking as much today.

Today taming session also went really well she getting more confident being in my hands she will happily walk onto my hands - she still a little unsure if I move my hand but she getting better with it. Pumpkin had a very special treat today a piece of homegrown carrot - she loved it as she sat and ate the whole piece and looked at me for more with her cute face.

Thanks Badwolf, cypher and Thin Lizzy. Its almost impossible to say no to their cute face, they do know how to get what they want with their cute expressions, but I said she would have to wait until today to get another small piece of carrot - she sat an ate a little and decided it was too nice that she had to save the rest for later. All my hamsters really enjoy their home-grown veg especially carrots and sweetcorn.


Taming Updates
Pumpkin has been making great progress with taming lately that I have advanced her to the next stage of my taming process. So during our taming session yesterday I placed her on my lap when she walked onto my hands instead of placing her back inside the playpen. She was happy to explore and climb over me whilst I was sitting on the floor – she didn’t seem bothered with me stroking her -her fur is so soft and smooth - and I also started to gently pick her up which she was a little unsure about. Today session I repeated everything I did yesterday, she seem to be gaining so much confidence being on my lap that she kept wanting to come out of the playpen and explore my lap – she was even comfortable enough to allow me to pick her up. Pumpkin has been enjoying herself during taming so much that as soon as I put the cardboard box - that I use to transport her from her cage and playpen - in her cage she climbs in within a flash and when it time for her to go back in her cage she comes out of the box but promptly returns and sits inside in the hope she can come back out again – which is so sweet to see.
