Haha they're so funny when they are annoyed with you and they sit there with the "I'm not talking to you face". When Boris is in a strop he sits with his back to me and ignores me even if I'm sticking a treat right in front of his nose! Glad she came round though and didn't stay grumpy for long and you got to enjoy your cuddles with her

Aw bless! It is funny when they do that Maybe she thought if she acted grumpy long enough she'd get extra treats & cuddles I can't imagine her being unforgiving for long though!

Pumpkin can be so funny, but I'm glad that she didn't hold a grudge against you. It's hard to resist your cuddles and treats!

I bought these Barritas para hamster manzana/huevo (2 uds) - Golosinas & suplementos. I know they probably are a total crap but They were ones of the best that I had available. Without added sugars, or honey, or strange ingredients. I'm not planing to leave it in the cage unsupervised, let's see how he reacts. Next time I order from zooplus I'm thinking about buying some Jr Farm ones, but I'm not sure coz right now I think that I'm already have treats for the rest of his life.

They do like their routine lol! Harvey can be a bit stroppy and like Boris he'll turn his back to me lol! Pumpkin knows you wouldn't do it on purpose but, will want lots of extra cuddles and gets then too.

Thank you BorisPasha, cypher, Hamsterita and Thin Lizzy. She is so cute and funny when she is grumpy - shows how much Pumpkin enjoys coming out in the evening for cuddles. Luckily Pumpkin doesn't stay grumpy for too long. But I do get her out once I get home so she doesn't miss out! - it's just not at the normal time. Hamster do like their routines! She is not going to be best pleased with the clock changing early tomorrow morning!

Boris and Harvey remind me of Cookie she used to do the exact same thing - even if I offered Cookie her favourite treats including fresh veg she would turn her head away. Most of my past girls used to sit staring at me with a disapproving look whereas Sherbet would try to be grumpy but she would get so excited when she saw me that she would forget why she was grumpy!

Today, I went to a local garden centre to get my mum a mother's day present, as always I have to look at the pet section. So I picked up 3 items for her a new bowl to use for her water, carrot and sweetcorn sisal/corn husk chews (as she chewed up most of her other ones) and a daisy garland (like the ones p@h used to sell and I been looking for one for a while as both Toffee and Sherbet enjoyed chewing on theirs). When I went to pay for them I was surprised to find out that the all the items for Pumpkin were half price!

Hamsterita, those treat sticks look like they will be fine as an occasional treat and they look better than some treat sticks I have seen for hamsters. I'm sure Blacky would enjoy a nibble on them. I have considered buying the JR farm ones but I only get them in a large quantity and I don't know whether Pumpkin would like them or not so instead I get her these which she likes Baked Snacks for Small Pets: great selection at zooplus: JR Farm Wholemeal Fruit Selection Cookies

Pumpkin and the Three Mushroom Chews

I've seen Pumpkin a lot during the day today which is very unlike her as I would be lucky to see her once during the day - obviously she know it's Mother's Day - as she also been extra cuddle so we've enjoyed plenty of cuddles.
It doesn't seem that this clock change hasn't affected Pumpkin to much today - although she was slightly late waking up for cuddles time as the first time I called for her she was still tucked up in her bed so I let her know it was her cuddle time but she didn't want to be disturbed. I left her for half an hour like I normally do sometimes when she a little tired - I was amazed when I went to check on her to see if she wanted to come out she was sitting there waiting. I think her clock might have changed automatically but I will see whether it the same tomorrow!

The other night I had noticed that Pumpkin had decided that her blue mushroom wood chew just wasn't in the right place so had relocated it to her sand bath along with having a good chew on it. I moved her chew when I did a spot clean of her sand bath and had put her chew onto the bendy bridge in the centre of her cage. When Pumpkin came out for the 3rd time today, she had discovered her chew wasn't where she left it. After collecting some treats I had scattered for her she discovered her missing chew and had to take it back to where it belonged she carried it around her cage for a little bit - tried putting in her house but she didn't have "much-room" to squeeze it in. So decided her sand bath was just the right place for it. Luckily I had my camera to hand - she spoilt me with some photos on Mother's Day.

Then Pumpkin decided she would try to move the medium sized yellow Mushroom, she carried it to her sand bath then she realised that this wasn't the best place for it before deciding her cork tunnel was where this chew belonged and had a little chew on it. Pumpkin then tried the large red mushroom but that was too big for her to carry so she left that one where it was and went to bed! Watching her do this made me laugh but she likes everything a particular way!

So lovely that Pumpkin decided to spoil you with photo opportunities and cuddles on Mother's Day SKB Very funny to read about her blue mushroom lol they get very particular about where things should live. She looks very cute in the pictures
