Re: All About My Pumpkin
Thank you Thin Lizzy, BorisPasha and Hamsterita. I was surprised at Pumpkin determination to retrieve her treat, as whenever I've hidden treats inside a cardboard tube for her she never even bothered trying to get the treats out. They definitely can make a lot of noise when they want to - the other night she woke me up in really early in the morning banging the roof of her house whilst she was doing some housework.
Last couple of evening Pumpkin has been having playtimes in her playpen, which she has been really enjoying. I filled her playpen up with lots cardboard boxes and tunnels - it's so lovely watching her having so much fun exploring. Pumpkin was having so much fun that she didn't want to go back in her cage, although she had been out for almost an hour and I needed to go to bed. Eventually I manage to convince her to go back in her cage and she allowed me to pick her up - although she is not best pleased when her playtime is over but then starts having fun running in both her wheels instead!

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Thank you Cypher, its been lovely watching Pumpkin having fun and enjoying herself. I tried Pumpkin with a treat kabob with 2 monkey nuts on - at first she wasn't impressed that she couldn't just carry them off to her nest so didn't have any interest with trying to get the nuts out, but during the night she had got 3 of the 4 nuts out.
Pumpkin's Palace Layout - Natural Themed - March 2017
Today, I given Pumpkin's cage a clean and have re-arrange her cage, this months cage has mostly the same toys as last months. This layout didn't go to plan as I couldn't arrange the toys in the way I had initially planned but eventually I manage to work a layout out - luckily Pumpkin was fast asleep in her grass nest in her carrier. I've manage to put more Fitch in her cage this month, as last month I ran out of Fitch - so have ordered a 20kg bag this time. Just to mention I don't remove all her Fitch but just a 1/4 of the Fitch nearest her house. Pumpkin has been really enjoying exploring her new layout - she been enjoying running through and climbing over the tunnels - which is lovely to watch. I've given her lots of cover as well as plenty of things to climb up onto.
Here is some photos of her cage - Pumpkin is only in 2 of the photo as she decided to go in her house and make her nest.

Re: All About My Pumpkin
When can I move in? That's such a superb layout SKB! You & Cypher are the Queens of Cage Arranging!
Even better when Pumpkin loves it too.

It's lovely SKB but then your layouts always are and it's good to hear Pumpkin is enjoying it. I would have moved in too but I think Lizzy and Cypher have beat me too it lol.

Oh wow! I wouldn't be surprised if you lose her in that lot! Pumpkin is such a spoiled and lucky hammie, Peanut has recently got her very belated first birthday presents but I will take some photos when she gets her Barney cage as her current cage is quite a state! She's been chewing loads of holes so I have had to get her a new one, she's due for a clean out but there's no point in doing it until ger new cage arrives in a few days!
I really do enjoy going through this thread, Pumpkin seems to be such a sweet little girl and quite cheeky at times, oh and extremely determined!
