Re: All About My Pumpkin
Thank you cypher, Thin Lizzy, Pinkneon, Serendipity7000 and Hamsterita. This DIY cage was something I wanted for a while now so I'm so happy I could do it for Pumpkin and it so nice to see her having such a great time in the cage.
She loves having two wheels - she has so much fun in both and runs back and forth between the two during the night. She especially been enjoying her DIY bucket wheel she run so fast in this wheel and has been preferring this wheel over the trixie. I enjoy watching her during the night having fun in her cage.
Pumpkin's Fun and Busy Friday Night
Pumpkin decided last night that she was going to move house and has made a nest in her extendable red tunnel - and has compacted her DIY house with Fitch. I did empty some of the Fitch out this morning but she decided to put it all back in, so she can't get in her house - She knows what she wants.
She was so funny last night - I could hear her running in her trixie wheel and then she stopped for a while and when I glanced towards her cage she was sitting in the wheel. A few moment later I glanced back at her cage and could she her half in and half out of her wheel so went over to her cage to see what she was doing but she was asleep. As she heard me she lifted up her head of the aspen - and she has aspen all over her face and with her eyes half shut. It was so cute and I had to laugh at her with all the aspen over her face it was adorable. After her little nap her energy had been recharged and she was back to her hyper self.
I took this photo of her the other day enjoying chewing her antos cerea frog ...

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Ahaha, Pumpkin reminds me of Willow
I giggled so much when you said you found her half in and half out of her wheel, hamsters have such comical sleeping positions

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Aww bless! She looks so sweet with her frog there!
They are such funny things sometimes, I had to laugh at her falling asleep half in half out of her wheel, having so much fun no wonder she needed a nap

Re: All About My Pumpkin
I did laugh at her asleep on her wheel and that she goes from wheel to wheel. Also at her putting back the finch you had moved. Bless her, so blooming adorable.
Gorgeous pic too.

A Pumpkin Photo - Too Cute
On Tuesday I managed to get this photo of Pumpkin being her really cute self. This is my favourite photo of Pumpkin. She was sitting and looking at me like this when I walked past her cage and I didn't think she would stay still long enough for me to get a photo but luckily she did.

Re: All About My Pumpkin
Thank you Coco61, cypher, Rads and Thin Lizzy. Pumpkin is so cute and sweet when she sit looking at me like this and I can't help but give her a cuddle and some treats. I also really like how her rear paw is on the coconut shell too - she does know how to look her best for the camera.
A Few Little Pumpkin Updates
Pumpkin is still so sweet and when she hear me she gets so excited to get some attention and cuddles. She is still enjoying both of her wheels - it so nice seeing the fun she has running in her wheels than her obsessively chewing the bars when she was in her old cage.
Pumpkin also now prefers to drink from a bowl than a bottle - I decided to try a bowl when one morning I woke up and she has knocked over her water bottle holder and thought if I had a bowl in her cage too she could still get water if she knocked her bottle over again. She now choose her bowl when she wants a drink but I will still leave a bottle in her cage in case she decided she want to drink from the bottle instead.
9 Years Ago Today - Got My First Hamsters
It's also so nice to realise that 9 years ago today I got my very first hamsters Honey and Caramel. In this time I have had so many great times owning hamsters along with some very sad moments too - sharing these time with some truly special and sweet girls and I'm looking forward to all the special moments still to come with Pumpkin. It's also nice to see the improvement in hamster care since 2007. But didn't quiet realise the amount of hamster supplies I would have also gathered in this time either.
Pumpkin will be enjoying some special treats on this special day.
This post is in memory of all my girls at the bridge love you all loads and hope you are all causing a lot of mischief - Honey, Caramel, Cotton, Cookie, Toffee and Sherbet - still missing you all loads.
