Hello everyone,

My name is Pippin or Pip to my friends I am a Syrian Hamster though I am only very young I already have a pet human. I just hope you understand hamster
My human is enormous when compared to me so could never be called cute unlike me, though there is a female human in his pack who seems to call him bear I hope he is not a bear what ever a bear is but it does sound quite scary to one who is so small like me.
One day well that is what these humans call it I was with my Hammy friends in a strange place when this human stops to look at me, well not seen anything quite like it I had to go have a look at it, he seemed to look at me and there was some sadness in his eyes, so I smiled at him to make him feel better.
It wasn't long before I heard some noises very close and next thing whoosh I was out of my place with my hammy friends and into a strange smelling thing turns out this was a travel box, tried as I might I could not push the end open with my little hands.
It was quite a while before the box was opened I could hear voices and noises but I was confused, then my humans' female was looking at me making funny cooing noises, very odd these humans and the daft noises they make when they see me they don't seem to speak hamster yet.
Next thing I realise I'm being tipped out into a strange place that I am coming used to calling home.
After all this upheaval these human had better watch out because I'm awake now and there is a wheel oh I love wheels and I can run and run all night... Hehehe

Hi Pip!
I'm Sweep! I am a Syrian hamster too. You know, I had a very similar experience to you - I was all cuddled up asleep with my 4 brothers and the next thing I know I am in a new much bigger place, and guess what?! NO BROTHERS! This has been good sometimes so they can't steal my food, but I do miss them and am a little bit lonely.
I have this pink human lady and she doesn't seem to speak Hamster either! It is a bit annoying because I don't really know how to tell her what I want! I am still a little bit scared of her but am now letting her stroke me more and more. I LOVE digging, and would dig all day if it wasn't so tiring! I also love to eat peanuts! And today I got to try this really nice thing. I don't really know what it was bit it was red and sweet. I only got a tiny tiny bit but it was yummy! I hope the pink human lady brings me more soon!

Hi Sweep
It's Pip, I have a similar problem to you my pet human keeps moving things in mu cagey thing always as I get things how I like it in my cagey thing, I too like to have a little dig too, my human then flattens it all out again when I have my long sleeps doesn't he understand that is what I want to do?

I'll show him and go widdle in the sand bath he has put in my cagey thing..

I have had several sleeps since coming here away from my hammy friends there are lots of things for me to play with and nibble on, and I get lots of different things to have as treats, so far I have had these bright green round things they where very yummy, the yellow things where nice too, I like peanuts too just like you sometimes they have a hard cover but they are fun to chew so I don't mind those.
My favourite treat so far is this creamy white coloured stuff which my human also likes and gives me a little piece of when he has one and calls it banana, I call it yummy......

So I have had a really long sleep and now it is time to have a long run on my wheel and climb up my cage thingy and annoy him by chewing on the bars, well I want to go out to explore........

Sweep here. That "banana" thing sounds nice. How can I get the pink human lady to give me some?? She really doesn't understand plain Hamster! I only got bars on the very top of the place I live and I can't reach them so I can't chew on them - are they nice?? There is another funny thing that lives with the pink human lady too. She spells it C-A-T and says I am not allowed to play with it. She said it is not allowed in the room! But it had a long fluffy tail and 4 legs. The pink human lady says it is dangerous and might hurt me and won't even let it talk to me!! This means I haven't yet found out if it speaks Hamster or not ... I only just decided I like the wheel thing but it is a bit boring not really going anywhere! But digging is way more fun! You should ask for some of the red sweet thing. That was VERY yummy! My new friend Charlie informs it is is named "strawberry"!

Hi Sweep,
My human gave me some more of that stuff called banana this morning it is so nice I just ate it all while he stood and watched grinning like an idiot, the only downside is it makes your paws quite sticky but a quick clean and they are ok.
Last night he gave me something new too I think he said it blueberry but it was hard trying to understand so I gave those a go and they are yummy too even if the skins are a little tough but nothing my teeth couldn't cope with��
About the bars they have no taste but are good to chew even if it is just to keep my teeth sharp, I have lots of things to chew on my cageything but I prefer the bars for no reason except they are there and my human gets a bit funny about it.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! The pink human lady has just left me this tiny tiny piece of something in my home! I haven't tasted it yet but it looks like that "nana" thing you described!! And she said I was her "bestest boy in the whole world" because I was good before I got this treat - and I will tell you more about that over on my page in a minute as the pink human lady says she needs the laptop-thing back a minute but I want to talk to all my friends!

Sweep, Sweep are you awake?
It's me Pip, I have had an adventure this morning, but first my human didn't look very happy with me last night, he couldn't understand why I had moved out of my house into one of my tubes with some food and a little bedding, all he did was mutter and say something about 'crazy creature' I don't know what he meant so I stayed back in the tubes and pretended to be asleep....hehehe.

Well he did tempt me out with something he called Apple well that was jolly nice very different to nana or those bluey things or cucumber even but even so I scoffed it.
I didn't see much of him last night he seems to have a nest not far from me they call a sofa....

Anyway this morning I was still in the tubes and human man says he is disappointed and takes my little house from the cagey thing and makes tutting noises, I guess he found that I had been naughty and had used it as a toilet and a larder and a bed......

Well he has taken it away and it has come back and smells very different and has new bedding in it.
I have more to tell but human wants this thingy back and is muttering about going to work, what ever that is

What?!?!?!?! No way!! Mr Human Man please give my friend Pip her house back the way it was!

She liked it like that! The pink human lady here is trying to solve a mystery! This morning my food bowl had moved from on top of my house to near the entrance of the house! It was the right way up with food in it so she says that I couldn't have moved it ...
